Overview
µFunds is a Google Sheets add-on that allows to import data of your mutual funds directly from Morningstar, only with their ISINs.

Thanks to µFunds, you will be able to import an asset's last NAV and its date, currency or expenses ratio, as well as asset category and other attributes from Morningstar and other data sources. By the use of a simple spreadsheet formula, the desired data can be introduced into your document for many purposes, e.g. portfolio supervision and management or investment strategies.

Once installed, µFunds is ready to use: after introducing the data attribute and the fund identifier, the information will appear in the selected cell. Funds can be identified by their ISIN (European funds), ticker (American funds) and also by their Morningstar Security ID (all funds and many pension plans). Check the documentation for a complete list of compatible assets, countries and identifiers.

Very flaky and unreliable. Not much better than web-scraping morningstar yourself through importhtml. From one day to the other, things might not work. Examples outdated, seems abandoned.

Makes importing fund prices much easier. I would like to see returns added, YTD, annual, trailing, annualised etc.

I wanted to simply import the price nav for a series of Australian listed funds into Google Sheets. It all looked okay using this product, but after two days of frustration and tears, i have not faound any combination of ISIN, APIR or morningstar or morningstar-au that will produce that for Australian funds. Worse still, the explanation page suggests using the Morningstar ID - which I yet to find from Morningstar Australia which, by the way, I use every day. I can't find any way to email my problems for someone to simply give me an example of an Australian fund returning a price on Googel Sheets. That is the reason for my low rating as the product has frustrated the hell out of me!

Thank you so much for such a great tool! I always used importXML() to scrape NAVs from Morningstar but it was slow and returned errors very frequently. muFunds() works great so far.

Really helpful application, such a shame it doesn´t autoupdate but that´s easy to add with a simple macro. Thank you very much for this helpful tool! Would be awesome to add some features like fund components, average dividend yield or YTM, duration and the like.

Gave me a way to access price for 30/334 esoteric company pension funds from Google Sheets. 30 is way better than zero. Thank you.

Great addon, which provides the data needed for all common funds I have searched for and works very stable. I would like to add an option to get the data from cache, since muFunds needs quite some time when executing and thus blocks the spreadsheet for about a minute when opening it. I will add this caching in the spreadsheet; but it would be better to be able to implement it in muFunds itself.

This basic app is really handy, for what it is. Unlike other stock pricing apps, this one works with Google Sheets. It also seems to have data for Stocks, ETFs, and Mutual Funds (probably other categories too). To the author: Searching Excel add-ons for "stock" or "stocks" does not find your app. If you want more hits, you should add that to the keywords (or description, or however Google does app searches). I think it would also be very valuable if you added an option that returns a NAV given a Stock/ETF/MF name and a specific date. Thanks for creating this tool and making it public!
