It is ok to read the document, but it is a mess when my students annotate it. When I have students use the text tool to add an answer, the formatting is all over the place and can not be easily read by me when it is submitted. I also dislike not being part of Google Drive once it is open. I can not change its location; I can't see where it is in my drive. If I want to do any major editing or use the tools, I open it on my desktop. Thankfully, I can open the desktop app with the PDF in it, and it edits the document in Google Drive. So, reading the PDF with the extension is the only thing I find helpful.

It is quick and convenient to view pdfs in the browser with this extension. I like the button that lets you launch the pdf you are viewing in the desktop app because sometimes you want the full features of Adobe Acrobat. It means you aren't forced to choose whether to use the browser extension or the desktop app because you can easily switch out of the browser view.

The new update for adobe for google drive is absolutely awful. Live time panning is making it extremely laggy and almost unusable. The new color palette for the highlighter just makes the text illegible. Why change something that was already working perfectly and then ruin it. Please go back to the old version because respectfully this one is completely BS.

Right now it's useless - comments automatically appear and clutter the screen on the right and a tool panel pops up on the left, making documents unreadable until you close everything every single time. Why can't I just "read" a document in peace with Adobe Acrobat READER???

I give the app 4.5 stars up from 3.5 stars, after the latest upgrades made over the last year. A big improvement in the basic features along and with the editing options in the app. I have been using Adobe for years for work, school and personal use and is my top and first preference among all readers and PDF format document creating. Adobe works well with many other software and app on documents in different formats other than pdf. Highly recommend.

First, the good things. This app has very good integration with Google Drive. It allows you to open files directly from Drive, and your edits are automatically saved back to Drive. That's great. Second, the problems. I use this to highlight articles. I like to use a few different colors, that I use for different purposes. Unfortunately, Adobe just updated their color palette for highlights so that only two colors are actually useful. Almost all the colors they offer are super bright and saturated, so much so that they *obscure* text rather than highlight it! The old color palette was fine. This palette is awful. For no good reason, it limits the functionality of this otherwise good software. One last thought: I do wish this viewer would support more fine-grained control over zoom level.

pdfs are the bane of my existence. the pen tool doesn't even work, the font size can't be changed so I have like font size 50 in a tiny a$$ box and can't change it down. literally, I just convert pdf to jpg and then open it up in PAINT, tell me why that's SO MUCH EASIER TO FILL OUT THAT WAY. pdfs were one of the worst files to ever be invented, they're such a hassle to fill out and unless you're sh*tting out money and paying crazy absurd fees, you have no way of easily editing it

The description explicitly says that free functionality includes the ability to convert PDF's to Excel. This is a blatant lie and actually requires a paid premium subscription.

The company that "blessed" us with PDFs can't even do it right. This app doesn't know the meaning of the word "FREE", either.
