This is a Google Sheets Add-on that provides spreadsheet functions for querying Alpha Vantage market data. The complete web api is available through these spreadsheet functions.

One of the great things about Google Sheets is the ability to share with others. However, please be aware that if you share your spreadsheet with someone you may expose your API Key to them. Also any invocations of the spreadsheet will count against your data limits. Please only share your spreadsheets within your company or with trusted individuals.

I'd love to like this system, but it doesn't work. I got a free API Key, which should give me 5 API calls per minute and 500 calls per day. Well, trying to call AVGetEquitySeries() returns an error telling me I am limited to 5 API calls per minute and 500 per day; that I should go to their website to purchase a higher tier key. All well and good. I will just email them asking what's up....No response. The documentation is poor. There is no FAQ, nor troubleshooting section for their API. The only way to get information would be to email them, but that doesn't work either. I'd go ahead and buy a higher tier key, but I'm not even sure this company isn't a ghost at this point. Perhaps they will be more motivated to respond to a negative review. I'd love for this to work. It sounds like exactly what I need. Edit: I went and bought a premium API key just for fun. My problems seemed to have went away regarding the key error, but there are some other issues. 1) the functions will occasionally stop working, and the only way to get them to work again is to cut and repaste them into the cell. Entering the cell and hitting enter won't do it. 2) I wish I could specify the interval for the data it grabs. As it stands, there are two choices, either you get the past 100 points of data, or you get the past 20 years worth of data.....lol. It would be nice to specify a time interval like google finance.

Hi I would like to populate my google sheets with the AVGetEquitySeries. While it works well with Stocks like AAPL, =AVGetEquitySeries("AAPL","15min", TRUE, "compact") I am not able to retrieve Russell 2000 index with =AVGetEquitySeries("RUT","15min", TRUE, "compact") What's the symbol for Russell 2000 index? Thank you

Doesn't have Frankfurt Stock data, doesn't offer more than 2 or 3 API calls per day, although they advertise 5 API calls per minute and 500 calls per day. They force you to buy premium. A waste of time.
