Apono is a cloud-native Privileged Access Management (PAM) platform that eliminates standing privileges by granting just-in-time, just-enough access to cloud infrastructure, databases, Kubernetes, and SaaS. This Google Chat™ app brings Apono's approver experience directly into Google Chat™, so approvers can review and act on access requests without switching tools. HOW IT WORKS When a developer or team member requests access through Apono's different clients, approvers receive a notification card directly in their Google Chat™ DM. The card includes: - Who is requesting access and on whose behalf (if applicable) - What resource or bundle is being requested - The requested duration - Full context to make an informed decision Approvers can approve or reject the request directly from the card. A reason prompt appears before submitting, keeping your audit trail complete. Once a decision is made, all pending approvers see the card updated with the new status in real time. ESCALATION SUPPORT If a request is escalated, the escalated approver receives a notification that includes who previously reviewed the request and a subtitle indicating the escalation context, so no decision is made without full visibility. SETUP An Apono admin adds the Google Chat™ integration from the Apono web app by specifying the Google Workspace™ domain. Users in that workspace or the workspace admin installs the Apono app and completes a one-time Google OAuth authentication to connect their Google account to their Apono identity. After that, all approval notifications are automatically routed to Google Chat™. REQUIREMENTS - An active Apono account - Google Workspace™ - Apono admin access to configure the integration Google Chat™ is a trademark of Google LLC
