Axel is TeamCulture's Google Chat™ app: it delivers your company's engagement and workplace culture surveys as direct messages in Google Chat™ and takes people to the survey in a single tap.

HOW IT WORKS

1. A Google Workspace™ administrator installs the app for the organization. Google Chat™ automatically creates a direct message conversation between Axel and every person in the company.
2. When HR opens a survey on the TeamCulture platform, Axel sends a direct message to the people included in that survey.
3. The message shows a card with an "Answer survey" button. Tapping the button opens the survey on the TeamCulture platform, where the person answers using their corporate account.
4. Answers are treated confidentially and reach the company only as aggregated indicators, never as individual replies.

WHAT YOU CAN DO IN THE CONVERSATION WITH AXEL

• Welcome message: the first time you open the conversation with Axel, you get a message explaining what it does and which commands are available.
• /help — shows the list of commands and how to answer surveys.
• /notifications — turns survey delivery in this conversation on and off. You can turn it off whenever you want and turn it back on with the same command.
• Any other message — Axel replies explaining what it does and how to use the commands. It does not interpret free-text messages and does not hold conversations about other topics.

WHO IT IS FOR

Axel is the survey delivery channel for companies that already use the TeamCulture platform with the Engagement module enabled. A TeamCulture account is required: the Google Chat™ app does not create surveys and does not replace the platform — it delivers surveys and takes people to them.

INSTALLATION AND SETUP

• Admin installation (recommended): the app becomes available to the whole organization and Google Chat™ creates the direct message conversation with each person, with nothing for individuals to install.
• After installation, the company connects its Google Chat™ workspace in the Integrations area of the TeamCulture platform. From then on, surveys are also delivered through Google Chat™.
• People are identified by their corporate email address, the same one registered in TeamCulture.

DATA AND PRIVACY

• Axel sends and receives messages only in the conversation between itself and each person, and replies only to what is sent directly to it.
• The app reads the Google Workspace™ directory in read-only mode, to determine which Google Chat™ user corresponds to each corporate email address already registered in TeamCulture. Without that match, the right survey cannot be delivered to the right person.
• Axel does not read other people's conversations, does not access spaces it has not joined, and does not use message content for any other purpose.
• Data handling follows TeamCulture's Privacy Policy, available through the privacy link on this page.
