Overview
Bark uses advanced algorithms to detect and proactively alert school administrators to issues their students face online, such as cyberbullying, threats, sexting, and signs of depression and suicidal thoughts. By only showing administrators potential problems on their students' school-provided Gmail™ and Google Drive™ accounts, Bark's approach saves administrators valuable time in identifying and addressing online issues within their student population.

My school uses this website called Bark and as an artist very annoying. For instance, I am trying to draw stuff, meanwhile, I want to see some random memes while I'm at it but then Bark comes in and stops my images from loading and I can't click on images nor see the rest of the memes I'm looking at! In my opinion, that is very stupid because what if we need images to draw something for our school and we can't even click on them to make it bigger. Well, some of you might say "Oh you can click on the link of the image to make it better." The problem is that my school uses Linewize a company that blocks websites that your students are going on and around 80% of the websites are blocked on my computer but this is Bark, not Linewize. While looking at the reviews most of them say they're invading your privacy and I totally 100% agree. It's like showing your mom your history but it's the whole school and it's too much for not only me but also kids to handle, especially with my school using Linewize why do you need Bark when you already watching our computers? Something I noticed is that there are warning signs whenever you search for something bad or something like cyberbullying it warns the district that you are doing (insert something here) or searching up (insert something here). Well I and my friend search for stuff like animals and memes, yet it warns the school district and blocks our images which is stupid! We're doing things that a normal teenager would do. Let us do our stuff and you do yours geez why try locking computers when it disturbs our learning purposes like blocking images and stuff like that? After looking at random reviews again, I found out you selling data to these companies in my school over 200 students have data to these companies which is bad because you're selling 200 students' information to this random company and trust like it's just another filtering website. Did my schools plus some other schools that use Bark didn't even read reviews? Unless they think the reviews are mostly by kids I mean that is true but the top helpful review is most helpful to read and yet they don't read it. I feel like I can't survive one more year with this but I have to. Even though I don't want to grow up and move on, I can't wait to go to high school and leave this school with its filtering problems. If any schools are reading this please don't use bark and sell your students information just to see what theirdoingjustuse IBOS instead. Ty for reading.

This app is one of the many freakishly invasive monitoring apps forcibly installed by you school. If you trust for a second that these apps aren't selling your information, then you are willingly ignorant to the fact that you are only worth your data to these companies. Not to mention, false positives can leave you in serious trouble with your school, often times leading to suspension or even expulsion. Every day I am sickened by Klein ISD's invasive and redundant monitoring, and I will never trust the District nor' the school with my personal information, especially to this extent. Think about it for a moment: everything you write, everything you upload, and everything you engage with is processed by Bark's AI. Do you think that it just reads it and forgets it? No, it's stored in a massive database that your district can decide to sell at any moment in time, with or without your permission. I have always been disgusted with the lengths schools will go to micro-manage every aspect of their technology, and I'm truly glad that I'm moving on to college and will never have to deal with this ever again.

It removes the privacy of students. Even the reviews are bad, if you trust for a second that these apps aren't selling your information, then you are willingly ignorant to the fact that you are only worth your data to these companies.

Sells kids' data to the black market and puts kids at serious risk of harmful people, this app has killed kids! If you want to look out for kids, stick with GoGuardian. at least they don't sell data!
