‘Benford’s Analyzer’ is a Google add-on that enables you to subject your data to Benford’s Analysis, a statistical breakdown of your data’s non-zero leading numbers by percentage. The percentage occurrence of each non-zero leading number in your data is plotted against the Benford’s distribution in the results page generated by this add-on. A variance number is also generated to tell you how closely your data’s number distribution conforms to the Benford’s distribution. A high variance from the Benford’s distribution CAN suggest a skewed or doctored data set and is often used as one of the first steps in the detection of fraud in a variety of industries.
