The BibleGet I/O add-on for Google Docs lets you easily insert Scripture / Bible quotes into a Document. The BibleGet service supports a few different versions of the Bible in different languages. The add-on interface is localized into English, Italian, Spanish, French, German, and Portuguese. The BibleGet server recognizes the names of the books of the bible in over 20 languages. In order to insert a Bible quote into the document, type the reference to the desired quote using standard notation for Bible citation (see https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bible_citation). The add-on and the underlying server endpoint (https://query.bibleget.io) can understand complex queries such as "Matthew 1:1-5,7-9,13;Mark 1:3-2:5;Luke 2:5,7,9-12;5:15". When the book name is omitted (as in "5:15" in the example), it is intended that the last named book is to be cited ("Luke" in the example). European notation is also supported (e.g. "Matthew 1,1-5.7-9.13;Mark 1,3-2,5;Luke 2,5.7.9-12;5,15"). At the time of publishing this update, there are four versions of the Bible available: the Italian CEI2008, the Italian LUZZI/RIVEDUTA, the Latin NVBSE, and the English NABRE. More versions will hopefully be added in the future. Searches for scripture verses by keyword are also available.
