I feel like I'm being watched all the time and it creeps me out. Plus, when I am being stalked via Blocksi, I can only have 3 tabs open at a time, which can be seriously be annoying when you're trying to keep a tab open for homework, and other tab open for work your doing in the classroom right now and another tab for Email. I can't always do this because sometimes it takes multiple tabs for a single work thingy. Every single one of the people here are students except for the occasional bots wrighting 1-sentance 5 star reviews. Like, why? Just make Blocksi illegal and/or ban it. Please, for the safty of the country. The government feels like TikTok can leak information to other countries? Just wait till they see Blocksi.

As an educator at Haines City Institute, I am deeply concerned to discover that these restrictions have adversely affected my students' learning by inaccurately categorizing certain websites as 'unsuitable'. Historically, limitations have seldom proven to be optimal solutions to challenges, and in this instance, the restrictions have far exceeded acceptable boundaries. Hello, I am politely asking you to delete this off the internet. Many students dislike this and I understand, it is not the best thing humans have invented. I, in fact, agree with every one-star review here, it is a piece of spyware. I remember my teacher used it in front of us, it invaded our privacy, which is illegal. It makes us, students, feel uncomfortable and unsafe, hence, the one star reviews here. My personal experience with it was terrible. You are limited to a select few videos, which makes it harder to be entertained. And the insane restrictions make it even more stressful when you have to do something on a website that has been blocked. So, with respect to my first sentence, please delete this off the internet. This is a perfect example of a privacy invasion. I added my school account to my main device because I had to do some homework, and that was the worst decision of my life. It had installed itself on my main account, and it heavily restricted my internet usage. I usually surf the internet as a coping mechanism due to some issues, and this malware has ruined that. Thanks, blocksi. You've ruined my life. TLDR: I installed blocksi on my main device, and now I'm unable to do what I need to do to cope with issues. Edit: I had to pay 4 technicians to remove it from my computer, and it's finally gone. I'm just glad I didn't lose any sentimental photos. Also, it literally turned on my webcam while I was reading a book, and started recording. Invasion of privacy, and isn't safe whatsoever.

I feel like I could speak for everyone with this review, Blocksi is a horrible piece of unethical spyware that's on the web store and tons of school districts bake it in on the Chromebooks completely ruining students' lives. some 8th graders at my school told me people had their locations tracked and their webcams randomly turned on, although these things never happened to me, my experience with Blocksi is just horrible, tabs randomly closed, harmless sites and videos blocked, and being forced into 6 tabs, I would rate this in the negatives if I could, they're so selfish they use bots to rate it five stars just to boost the average. As literally everyone including me said this is literal spyware, and some sites it blocks for no reason include flightradar24, FlightAware, planefinder.net, ublock origin, scratch, and gimkit are all blocked for some retarded reason, you wouldn't need a flight tracker on a Chromebook but why block it? most people hate ads and would naturally download adblockers but why would you block one? scratch teaches kids to code which is educational, gimkit is marketed as educational so why block it? my district (Round Rock ISD) it even blocked Dino of all things, and since Chromebooks only allow Chrome, you can't get Brave browser and ditch ads, and this "extension" (if you could even call it that at all) although not illegal because the Chromebooks are school owned can still access and close your tabs and windows, it will also screenshot your page and take webcam photos every 30 seconds once your Chromebook is connected to the internet anyways sorry to break it to you but blocksi isn't illegal and I wish it is, and I even found a possibly botted review: This is a good app because some of the "bad kind" in my classroom don't know manners. Blocksi gives me no privacy. I am okay with blocking off bad websites or YouTube, but this is too much. It blocks my SCHOOLWORK and not some bad stuff. Also, if you see good reviews, it is most likely a bot. That's right, the only good reviews are fake. But if you want to be an online spy, 5 stars. Also, it is technically illegal, according to other reviews. Don't believe me? How about this? It has access to everything you write, send, search, etc., acts as a malware, can literally stop you from using your computer, tracks your location, has access to your screen data and camera. Pretty much illegal. It also has cost multiple people a crap ton of money on new computers because it infects any computer with your account on it.

School is a universally hated thing due to its limiting atmosphere and countless rules. And this exemplifies that perfectly. I realize that the teachers believe this is helping to eliminate distractions, and I respect that they're trying to help us, but what they don't realize is that this may be harming us in the long run. As adolescents, we're developing our skills. This is one of the most crucial stages of life, and one of the most crucial skills we can learn is self control. And how do we learn self control? By being presented with choices and making mistakes. With Blocksi, our ability to make choices, and thus our ability to learn self control, is inhibited. We are never presented with the choice, so we never make it. We never learn. A bit ironic for a place dedicated to learning. So if you're a teacher, principal, or superintendent thinking about installing Blocksi on your school's computers, please think about this first. Would you rather have students learn critical skills applicable to every aspect of life, or would you rather drill mindless facts into their heads? Your choice. Edit: This app continually blocks websites needed for research in many classes. I know I am most definitely biased, but limiting students' access to the internet to the point where it's hindering their education? This seems more like a reflection of school's lack of real solutions than an effective way of managing the internet. Additionally, where will this leave us in the future? Will we have a generation of adults able to safely use and explore the internet, or will we have millions of people scared to use a computer for fear of unsafe content? In the end, Blocksi will do nothing but damage our future. And quite frankly, it's an embarrassing reminder of how our school systems are relying more and more on third-party apps to regulate students. This app will likely be illegal within a decade as soon as laws cross the technology gap. So really, no matter how you look at it or what the app claims, this is nothing more than procrastinating a true solution. Update: Blocksi is now blocking anything that speaks negatively of its services, and it won't let us view anything in depth regarding privacy laws or our rights. Corruption, anyone?
