BudgetSheet is a Google Sheets add-on that can link to your bank to import live transaction data directly into your spreadsheet. From there, you can do whatever you want with it! NO user accounts or signup required.

BudgetSheet Free allows you to use all the add-on features for free with one (1) bank account linked for up to 15 days. BudgetSheet Pro (paid) allows you to link 20 or more bank accounts for unlimited time. Upgrade via the Extensions menu to go Pro.

I will preface this by saying that I am sure that Vance is a great guy, and clearly wants to do his best on his product, and my case may be an outlier. It very well may be that there were outside circumstances that prevented him from contacting me sooner, but below is my honest experience. I had an issue with how my transactions were pulling into the spreadsheet. It very well may have just been my specific bank, as it seemed nuanced. However, I had to email Vance the owner of this tool twice asking for help before he answered back that he was looking into it. Then I had to email four more times and finally inquired about getting a refund due to the lack of support before he emailed back. I then had to email three MORE times asking about the status of the refund before it was finally issued back to me. My first email to Vance was on March 15, and my email asking for a refund was sent on March 31, and I finally received the refund on April 14. There is no option for a monthly subscription where I could have just cancelled and paid for the 1 month of use, only choice is to pay for the annual package upfront. The tool has potential, but lacks the support if there are any issues, and personally I found a better workflow and email support from a competitor product.

I absolutely love this plugin and recommend it all the time. If you're really into budgeting, then I think the best method for tracking is a spreadsheet where you can keep your data and customize your reporting. This plugin makes that process seamless. The price is reasonable, the security is industry best in class (Plaid), and syncing works really well. I also think the usage limits are really generous, allowing you to connect multiple accounts to multiple sheets, if you want. The developer is super responsive to questions. I would be so crushed if I couldn't use this app anymore, so I think everyone should support it :-)

at first I loved it. since im in the middle of divorce this was what seemed like a great idea. It wont download beyond 2023 so I'm hoping to get my money back.

I have been trying to contact the developer through the website, but to no avail. I do wish to purchase more licenses, but the Docs are not upto date, and the method of updating one's subscription/license is not accessible. Just need him to contact me. Frustrating.

I set up the pro version yesterday. The plugin works great and appears to be everything I need. The autofetch ran overnight and pulled 6 new transactions. I saw the new transactions at the bottom of the sheet. However, after resorting the sheet on date (most recent at top), those transactions are missing. Another autofetch tells me that it skipped 6 duplicates. But I still cannot see that last set of transactions. Can you help me please ?

Customer support has worked with me to resolve the previous issues I was having. It is a good plugin, especially for people who want to design their own reports instead of being stuck with cookie-cutter information.

Overall solid plugin. I have the pro version. Biggest issue is bank accounts need to constantly be re-linked, and sometimes you need to delete and re-add the account. But it does a great job of importing and doing an initial categorization of transactions (with user-defined filters)

Budget Sheet delivers exactly what every other tool was missing for me; the perfect blend of automation and customization. Every other budgeting app seems to have it's own structure and approach that it forces users into. It always frustrated me because it was not intuitive for my particular mindset. It was always close, but limiting, forcing me into workarounds or hacks. This provides a clear baseline with essentially endless customization available. Also, support is timely and clear. I definitely recommend giving it a try.
