BudgetSheet is a Google Sheets add-on that can link to your bank to import live transaction data directly into your spreadsheet. From there, you can do whatever you want with it! NO user accounts or signup required.

BudgetSheet Free allows you to use all the add-on features for free with one (1) bank account linked for up to 15 days. BudgetSheet Pro (paid) allows you to link 20 or more bank accounts for unlimited time. Upgrade via the Extensions menu to go Pro.

I have used this extension now for a couple of years and it is great. A recent update added a column to transactions which did confuse some additional sheets I had set up based on the transactions tab, but it was a quick fix to get my tabs/reports/scripts back up and running. Well worth the price. Even though you could update the year in the same book because I like to keep my historical budgeted vs actual amounts and update my categories yearly I create a new workbook yearly with this extension. Also initialy plaid did not ingegrate well with my bank and would not auto fetch transactions, that isn't this extensions fault but plaid is also updating regularly and recently when I tried adding it again it has been fetching daily. So happy with this extension.

I love this add-in. I am running 4 different sets of books for 4 different LLC's in this one app. It downloads transactions automatically and all I have to do is code the transaction and I can immediately see on my cash flow statement up to the minute results.

I was hopeful for an app that would connect google sheet to my bank. This app does not work, keeps glitching and giving errors. Emailed support, no response. I would not waste my time with it.

Really enjoy BudgetSheet. It streamlines a lot of manual budget tracking I was doing and connects with almost all of my accounts seamlessly. Has saved me a ton of time!

Dead in the water out of the box. Plaid bank log-in fails using credentials from password manager (that worked to sign in a few minutes ago in the bank web site). No obvious flow to get help.

I was so happy 2+ years ago when Ben Collins introduced his newletter readers to BudgetSheet. I'd been a longtime Quicken, Mint, and every other money management program. user And I needed to be able to do offline work and have all my info downloadable which the latest innovations in these programs no longer did. BudgetSheet gives me exactly what I need - and Vance provides fast email response to issues or questions. I cannot live without this app and its efficiency in getting my financial data updated so I can manage it.

I will preface this by saying that I am sure that Vance is a great guy, and clearly wants to do his best on his product, and my case may be an outlier. It very well may be that there were outside circumstances that prevented him from contacting me sooner, but below is my honest experience. I had an issue with how my transactions were pulling into the spreadsheet. It very well may have just been my specific bank, as it seemed nuanced. However, I had to email Vance the owner of this tool twice asking for help before he answered back that he was looking into it. Then I had to email four more times and finally inquired about getting a refund due to the lack of support before he emailed back. I then had to email three MORE times asking about the status of the refund before it was finally issued back to me. My first email to Vance was on March 15, and my email asking for a refund was sent on March 31, and I finally received the refund on April 14. There is no option for a monthly subscription where I could have just cancelled and paid for the 1 month of use, only choice is to pay for the annual package upfront. The tool has potential, but lacks the support if there are any issues, and personally I found a better workflow and email support from a competitor product.

I absolutely love this plugin and recommend it all the time. If you're really into budgeting, then I think the best method for tracking is a spreadsheet where you can keep your data and customize your reporting. This plugin makes that process seamless. The price is reasonable, the security is industry best in class (Plaid), and syncing works really well. I also think the usage limits are really generous, allowing you to connect multiple accounts to multiple sheets, if you want. The developer is super responsive to questions. I would be so crushed if I couldn't use this app anymore, so I think everyone should support it :-)
