Overview
We offer you two different solutions for managing response limits in choice options: Form Choice Limiter and Choice Eliminator for Google Forms. Before proceeding, we would recommend that you read about the differences between these solutions.

If you have very high-volume surveys (more than ~1000 users), first-come-first-served sessions (more than ~100 users), or run limited inventory items with images, you should use the Choice Eliminator for Google Forms add-on. In other cases, Form Choice Limiter is easier to use as it is a native add-on for Google Forms.

Below is a detailed comparison of Form Choice Limiter and Choice Eliminator for Google Forms:

- Choice Eliminator for Google Forms uses a custom URL provided by the add-on for accepting responses.
- Form Choice Limiter uses the native Google Forms URL for accepting responses.
- Form Choice Limiter removes choice options after the response choice limit set in the add-on configuration is reached. Respondents will not see choice options that have reached the limit.
- Choice Eliminator for Google Forms disables choice limiter options that have reached the limit and do not allow them to be selected. Respondents will see these choice options as disabled items.
- Form Choice Limiter does not show the limit and accepted response count for each choice option in the response form.
- Choice Eliminator for Google Forms shows the choice limit and accepted response count for each choice option in the response form. This is useful for first-come-first-served and high-volume surveys, allowing respondents to determine which choice limiter options are available easily and making the survey run smoothly with fewer questions for the survey manager.
- For high-volume surveys with thousands of respondents and several simultaneous responses, Form Choice Limiter may experience overloaded choice options. When several users send responses at the same time, it is possible to exceed the limited choice options by +1 response. For example, a choice option with a limit of 10 could receive 11 responses.
- "Choice Eliminator for Google Forms" is very precise and does not allow choice options to be overloaded, regardless of the number of simultaneous respondents. For example, if you set a limit of 10 for a choice option, you will receive exactly 10 responses.
- Form Choice Limiter does not allow the use of images for choice options. If you run some limited inventory items with images, it is not a good idea to use "Form Choice Limiter."
- Choice Eliminator for Google Forms allows the use of images for choice options. If you run some limited inventory items with images, it is the best choice and the only working solution available on the marketplace.
- Choice Eliminator for Google Forms does not allow the native user sign-in feature provided by Google Forms; instead, it implements its own sign-in feature.
- Choice Eliminator for Google Forms does not allow the native feature of sending respondents a copy of their response provided by Google Forms; instead, it implements its own feature for sending respondents a copy of their response.
- Choice Eliminator for Google Forms does not allow the use of the file upload field.
- Choice Eliminator for Google Forms does not allow respondents to edit their responses after submission.

USAGE NOTES
Choice Eliminator for Google Forms™ is the best Google Forms™ app for limiting response counts for multiple choices, checkboxes, and dropdowns. Has great power for choice limit high volume surveys.
The answer choice gets crossed out on the Google Forms™ when the limit is reached. Choice Eliminator for Google Forms™ is perfect for sorting out dates like a doctor’s appointment if you want to organize a consultation hour for your students. In this case, you could use a dropdown or a multiple choice question and so offer different time slots for them. You can then use our addon to eliminate options.
You can decide between:
1) a generic limit: in this case, each timeslot will be limited by the same number of responses. E.g. if you choose limit 3, the addon will eliminate option by option after each one has reached its limit. In addition, you can choose the option
2) an individual limit for your appointment slots. In this case the addon will remove choice by choice as soon as the individual limit has been reached.

FEATURES
1. Set as many limits as you want for choice options
2. Get an Email notification when the limit is reached
3. View how many responses had been made for options
4. Allow for unlimited responses in your Google Forms™
5. Open Choice Eliminator for Google Forms™ Configuration Config in Full Screen
6. Custom final choice text
7. Apply custom limit for all choices at one click
8. Schedule a restore form
    - Every hour.
    - Every week.
    - Every month.

reach their limit, the form will stop accepting responses
11. Custom Closed Form Message. Allowing for a personalized message to
be displayed once the form is closed.
12. QR Code for Form Link.
13. Limit to 1 response. The responder can submit the form only once.
14. Google Sign in required. Respondents should sign in with a Google account to submit the form.

The "Show Limit/Response Count for choices" unique feature in the Form Choice Eliminator add-on for Google Forms™ enables you to manage capacity and display counts for each option in your forms. This tool is especially beneficial during event registration or surveys, where a balance across all choices is crucial. Once an option's limit is reached, the Choice Eliminator crosses it out, preventing further selection. This add-on tracks response count and adjusts availability in real time. For example, during a workshop with limited slots per session, the Choice Eliminator prevents overbooking by crossing out filled sessions, thus enhancing your form's efficiency.

TROUBLESHOOTING

2. Only "Help" menu item is visible and "Configure" not visible.
Please refresh the page and wait for 0.5-1 min and then open the add-on menu.
Sometimes Google loads add-ons slowly depending on load and network speed.

DISABLED FEATURES:
1. Allow response editing. Responses can be changed after being submitted.
2. Restrict to users in (your organization name) and its trusted organizations
3. Limit to 1 response. Respondents will be required to sign in to Google. You can enable this setting on the addon configuration.

Difference between Choice Eliminator for Google Forms™ and Form Choice Eliminator:
1. If several users select the same choice and submit the form at the same time you can get 2 responses. For example, your choice limit is 5 and users submit the form choice 4 times. After 2 users submit the choice once, the count in the form will calculate 6 responses but you will set a limit of 5. The Choice Eliminator for Google Forms™ will not let 2 users submit the form at the same time. Before submitting with the Choice Eliminator for Google Forms™ app, check if the option has a limit, if yes then submit.
2. Form Choice Limiter, as well as Choice Eliminator FULL, Choice Limit Choice Limiter, Choice Eliminator Lite, Choice Eliminator 3, and Choice Eliminator 2 – all of which are part of Google apps for work – will remove an option from the list once it reaches the "choice limit." In contrast, Choice Eliminator for Google Forms™ displays all choices in Google Forms™, including those that are crossed out. When a choice reaches its limit, it is crossed out and disabled.
3. Form Choice Limiter will delete the option once it reaches its limit. Choice Eliminator for Google Forms™ will cross out and disable the option if it reaches its limit
4. When you save the configuration, the Choice Eliminator for Google Forms™ synchronizes Google Forms™ responses and configuration responses. For example, if you delete one response in Google Forms™ and click to save the configuration, Choice Eliminator for Google Forms™ will remove this response in the configuration.
5. The Choice Eliminator for Google Forms™ can delete all responses in the Google Forms™. Please be careful, if you click on the “Reset” button all response data will be deleted and you never will recover it.

Fantastic Tool for Managing Form Responses I've been using the Choice Eliminator for Google Forms add-on and it has exceeded my expectations. The seamless way it limits response counts for multiple choices, checkboxes, and dropdowns is impressive. During the free trial, we explored its capabilities thoroughly, and it worked flawlessly. The choice options get crossed out when the limit is reached, making it easy to manage responses. Whether you're signing up for time slots or ensuring students don't double up on topics, this add-on is a game-changer. Kudos to the team behind this brilliant tool! We'll definitely consider subscribing.

This is exactly what I was looking for. If you are creating an order form for a fundraiser and only have a limited quantity of a certain style/color, this is the perfect app for allowing you to "remove" the option once the limit has been reached (or last stock item was sold). It keeps the form active and just visibly crossed out the choice, hence choice eliminator, without you having the constantly look at the form and make sure you remove the choice manually before someone orders more items than available. The customer support is also super fast and very helpful! 5 stars easily

This add-on was exactly what I was looking for in order to eliminate choices regarding time slots once chosen by the participants on a Google Form. Very easy to use and apply. The customer service is also great because they replied instantly to a small concern I had regarding the trial. Thank you Everest Web Deals for creating this awesome feature.

Thank you for the complimentary license of Choice Eliminator for Google Forms for the Salvation Army Women's Auxiliary luncheon. It pales in comparison to your larger clients, but saved my tiny project so much time by making it possible for us to seamlessly register our group of 40 designers with a 1-day loading dock schedule for our benefit at Four Seasons Hotel in Austin, TX. We appreciate your generosity in support of sheltering displaced families at the Rathgeber Center! - Jenny Jopling, Salvation Army Women's Auxiliary Tablescape Chair

I was ok. It was good at alerting me to when the limit of the choices was reached. However, it did not eliminate that choice once the limit was reached. Two of my times were double booked. It was only a 21 person booking. I am on the free trial but I would hate to have been booking a substantially more amount of people.

It worked perfectly! Used it ensure some training sessions in our volunteer association weren't oversubcribed while others sat empty. In our pre-testing, we noted that a couple of pop-ups might happen if a lot of people were trying at the same time so, to prevent potential confusion or concerns of the folks trying to sign up, I added some text at the bottom of the form before the submit button that said the following... "How to ensure a successful submission When submitting, you may receive a pop-up from form.everestwebdeals.co that says: “Please wait. Someone is submitting a response.” If this happens, press “OK” on the pop-up and press “Submit” again. “Limit is reached for the following choices: […] Please choose another choice or reload form.” If this happens, press “OK” on the pop-up, select another session and press “Submit” again. It all worked perfectly and we didn't receive any negative feedback from those signing up. Will definitely continue to use this add-on for similar situations. Thank you!
