This is a tool that was developed because of the need to take student attendance during Remote Learning of the COVID-19 Pandemic.  This is a tool that will allow you to automatically create an attendance tracker, create daily attendance forms for the days that you would like to capture daily attendance, schedule announcements in a Google Classroom class from your choice.  When  the tool is functioning, using Google Classroom students will get an announcement at 8:00am on the date that the form was created for.  Students will have one choice to mark their attendance, and the forms used to collect attendance will capture student g-suite accounts, then using a series of importrange and vlookup formulas you will be able to have a running list with percentages of who is present or who is absent from remote learning!

How do you check to see what is causing the continuous spinning when attempting to announce to class? I got it to work on 1 out of 3 of my separate sheets (one for each grade level with each Google sheet having about 100 students.). I see no duplicate dates and the only thing that didn't work is the automatic announcing for those 2 grade levels. I'm not an IT person. Just an administrator that is a Math Geek. Please give additional advice and talk to me like I'm a 3rd grader. lol

Thank you so much for taking the time to create this resource. I really appreciate it as it helps streamline and make this transition easier. I would rate it higher, but for some reason on step 3 for “make attendance tracker” I get what’s similar to the infamous Mac rainbow wheel of doom...do you have any suggestions how I may fix this so the tracker is generated? Again so grateful for your work.

Great add-on. I would like to make a feature request, as of now your tracker can only generate attendance tracker only once per day. I don't know if you could extend the function, where I can also say input time and date (in place of just Date as of now), and generate separate attendance for each class in a day.

The add-on does work well but struggles to "Make Attendance Tracker" and then you get the spinning wheel of death. I am using a 4G hotspot and can only assume it is just too slow for what I am asking to be done. I am going to try it on our school network and see if that is any better. Can anyone tell me, can I save the files anywhere I want to in my drive or is that going to effect the links that were created?

How do you use this and factor in a grade for daily attendance for each student and their overall grade in classroom? In other words, how do you use this and integrate in such a way that overall grade in classroom is also effected? Our program curriculum here is heavily based on attendance, by 50%.

I am trying to create a register for 31 children for 4 days. I get to step 4 but is just keeps spinning. II have checked that I am listed as the teacher but it just isn't working.
