Manage and monitor all the Google Classroom Course in your Domain

This add-on enables Super-Admins to manage and monitor all the Google Classroom courses in their domains.  They can also delegate those rights to selected users to manage and monitor dynamic groups of classes.

That includes managing student/guardian links. Admins can also report on relevant Google apps usage over a period to measure student engagement. You can monitor Classroom usage over time with an overview of all announcements and assignments for all classes in the domain, or for a selection of classes. You can also report on grades awarded on all submissions and you can get information on assignments which students have not yet submitted and which assignments were submitted late. Admins can manage all classes in the domain. They can archive and delete classes in bulk, create new classes, transfer ownership and add and remove teachers and students to and from classes. 

An admin user (or delegate) can use the assignments menu to get an overview of the work being set by all teachers in the domain. You can get information about the number of assignments and announcements made for each class. You can also select a class to drill down and get, for that class, details of all those assignments and announcements. It will populate a spreadsheet to show details such as when the assignment was set, when it is due, who it was set by, the title and the description.

You can edit various details of the domain's courses from a spreadsheet. This includes changing:

 the course status, 
 course name 
 and section 
 description 
 and room. 
 the course owner  
You can also see how many students are associated with a course. 

You can also get lists of teachers and students associated with a course and add and delete teachers and students. You can schedule jobs to sync data about teachers and students of classes with data from your School Information System.

Once you have installed the add-on and setup the spreadsheet you can retrieve details of all existing courses. They are listed on the GSFEcls page. There you will see information about when each class was created; who the owner is; the enrolment code; whether or not Guardian emails have been enabled for the class.   On that page you can also see and update the following class details: Course Name; Course Section; Course State; Course Description Heading; Course Description and Room. You can also get, for each course, numbers of students enrolled in the course. The add-on will also retrieve details of teachers and students attached to a class. 

If you upload to the spreadsheet data from your School Information System you can also use the add-on to sync that data with the data in Classroom. New classes will automatically be created where necessary and teachers and students automatically assigned to the appropriate classes. 

All the features of the the add-on are free to use for 7 days from first installation. After the trial period you can continue to use the add-on under a free-of-charge standard licence to control 10 of your domain's classrooms. To use the other features you will need to purchase an Admin or Teacher  licence. The admin licence also covers all the teachers in your domain. The cost of an Admin licence is currently $150 for a year. 

An Admin licence provides this functionality for all teachers in the domain. If you purchase an admin licence it is not necessary to also purchase teacher licences.

Works great what a major time saver. With the Corvid-19 impending closure I needed a way to see how many teachers were using classroom and how many classes they had and this gave me that information so I could target what teachers needed a little more training. Then I had to add 1000 students at once to a class, not just invite them but actually enroll them and this saved hours of my time, especially since time right now is at a premium. Easily one of the best purchases I have made in a while.

Hello Mr. Molloy- I just purchased the add-on for my Google classes. I do not have the admin sign on, nor will I ever be able to get one- But what I need is to be able to verify when each of my students have logged into the Google classroom. My district is using the logins as attendance (not assignment completion - but I guess that is another debate). So instead of checking student by student, I was hoping that Classroom Manager could do this for me but I am not figuring this out. I have watched all your videos and it does not specifically address individual logins/time stamps for students. I know Canvas has this feature but with the COVID 19 and my students already comfortable with Google classroom, I did not want to introduce and train them on a new platform. Amazing addon, lifesaving for me and my district! It does take some practice, but once you get the hang of it you can manage all the classes, students, and teachers in your domain. We use it to make sure our IT can get into classes to troubleshoot and that all students are properly added into their classes. We also use it to remove teachers and students who are no longer with us. My favorite feature is being able to mass invite students and have it add the classes fully instead of asking them to join. The owner is very good at responding, and super helpful.

I would like to apologize to the author for giving a bad review in the passed. I had to manually add this app to Google security (this fact is not documented) and was finally able to connect and try it. it is wonderful (period). It is true that maybe the author took my review personally and I never gave me a response nor help, but the product is good and I appreciate the effort made producing this add-on. In fact, I am buying a license (maybe more) in the next few days. PS. I changed my review :)

You will probably need to go into admin settings - security - and allow users to manage less secure apps. It took me a while to figure this out, would be good to mention up front. Also the tutorials on the app website are a little difficult to hear & understand.

TRASH. I really don't trust it with my info it asked for so many things from my google account. Also it doesn't do anything. DON'T RECOMEND DO NOT GET IT

This is by far the most valuable tool for Google Classroom administration for schools in remote learning mode. It is precise and prompt and can be used to create and update. Support from Martin Molloy is quickly available, very helpful and kind.

Found info by going to Add-ons menu then sub-menus are located there. Able to add classes and enroll students using gsfe worksheets. Pretty slick when you figure out what you are doing.
