Overview
Clean That Sheet Guard is a spreadsheet preflight tool for Google Sheets™.

Before you share a spreadsheet, import it into another system, or hand it off for bookkeeping, Guard scans the active tab for problems that could cause rejected imports, incomplete records, duplicate data, formatting issues, or extra cleanup later.

Choose the check that matches what you are about to do:

• SAFE-TO-SEND
Check your sheet before sharing or submitting it. Guard looks for duplicate records, blank rows, inconsistent dates, currency formatting, broken formulas, and other spreadsheet issues.

• IMPORT-READY
Preflight data before importing it into an ATS, CRM, HRIS, payroll platform, accounting system, or other software. Guard checks headers, required fields, duplicate records, missing data, merged cells, mixed data types, spreadsheet errors, formulas, dates, and table structure.

When you are working from an import template, Guard can also use required-field indicators such as headers marked with an asterisk (*) to identify fields that should not be left blank.

• BOOKKEEPING CLEANUP
Review spreadsheet data before handing it to a bookkeeper or accounting workflow. Check transaction IDs, dates, amounts, duplicate transactions, formatting, spreadsheet errors, and other common cleanup issues.

REVIEW BEFORE ANYTHING CHANGES

Guard does not silently rewrite your spreadsheet.

After scanning, you can review flagged issues, see why they matter, queue supported corrections, and decide what should be changed.

Your workflow is:

Choose a check → Scan active tab → Review issues → Queue fixes → Apply cleanup → View Change Report

CHANGE REPORT + RESTORE

Every guarded cleanup creates a Change Report so you can see what changed. Supported changes can also be restored when needed.

BUILT FOR REAL DATA HANDOFFS

Guard can help when preparing:

• Candidate lists for ATS or recruiting systems
• Employee data for HRIS or payroll imports
• Customer and lead lists for CRM imports
• Operational spreadsheets for another software platform
• Transaction data for bookkeeping workflows
• Spreadsheets that need a final check before being shared

PRIVACY

Guard checks the active spreadsheet tab. Spreadsheet contents are not provided to sponsors.

Free cleanups may include a sponsor message after a cleanup is completed. Sponsors do not receive your spreadsheet data.

Clean That Sheet Guard helps you catch spreadsheet problems before they become import problems, handoff problems, or someone else’s cleanup problem.

We’ve found this tool to be a great fit for the kind of spreadsheet work we do at Lombard Toyota. It helps turn large, messy data exports into something much easier to read and work with, without requiring a lot of manual cleanup. What we especially like is that it seems to understand the structure of dealership data instead of treating every column the same. That saves time and makes the finished spreadsheets much more useful for our day-to-day work. Definitely a helpful tool for an automotive dealership working with a lot of data.

What stood out to me was how well the tool understood the automotive spreadsheet. It knew things like MSRP, invoice, and total cost should be formatted as currency, but left R.O. numbers, VINs, and stock numbers alone. That’s a small thing, but it made the cleanup feel a lot smarter and like it actually understood the data I was working with.
