Overview
copyDown adds a simple but revolutionary functionality to Google-Form-fed Google Sheets -- the ability to have formulas and cell formats carry into new form submission rows.

With this ability, any Google form submission can auto-calculate subtotals, perform a vertical lookup against another sheet, include conditional formats or data-validation lists in new form rows, or calculate a count or countif tied to a cutoff threshold -- and these are just a few examples -- don't get us started!

Use in combination with the autoCrat or formMule Add-ons for Sheets to bring calculated values and formatted numbers and dates into your form-triggered document and email merges.

IMPORTANT: Due to limitations of Apps Script, copyDown is NOT COMPATIBLE WITH SPREADSHEET FILTERS on the form response sheet.

Its a good plugin, best with its name but does not work as they say, It skips some random rows to update the formula, also several times it formats the formula cell to some random formatting, I need to check regularly if the it has copied all formulas or not.... tough the percentage of this is somewhere 7-8% only but its too random hence need to check it regularly, not disappointed but getting pissed due to error reporting.

The program is very helpful and serves a great need. I find, however, I have to constantly check that it is, in fact, applying the formulas to all submissions . It's not always stable and seems to drop formulas in an unpredictable way. So I regularly need to go into the form responses and manually apply the formulas to be sure the most recent submissions apply the formulas that the time sensitive emails, that depend on the this program, are generated.

You guys should change the name from 'copy down' to 'spin around' or 'wheel of misfortune' because that's frankly all I ever see. You could even add a puzzle to solve and turn each spoke of the pinwheel into a prize. That would be so awesome. I'd give you 5 stars for sure if you did that.

It's great...when it works. CopyDown provides a solution for a very common problem. The only issue is that it does not always work properly. For some reason, it skips rows randomly and won't paste the formulas there. Disappointed that there seems to be no reasoning for or solution to this problem. Going to try something different instead.

When it works, it works great. However it worked inconsistently for me. It would occasionally stop working, and sometimes I could fix it by turning it off and back on, and sometimes it wouldn't turn back on except by a fluke (it even turned itself back on after I finally got frustrated and turned it off). It also used to work for additional (not form-driven) rows on the tab, but this stopped working a while back. I wrote a code myself to accomplish the same thing with better consistency.

It works as expected with automatically copying formulas down the column, but I'm seeing some unusual formatting issues with the spreadsheet after using Copy Down. Some cells become bold, other cells fill color or text color gets changed. And sporadically the Timestamp column format is changed to some long number with a decimal.

Has always worked well and I love it! But it is not working tonight. The wheel is just spinning. Does not progress from the "on" button to finding formulas and doing what it is supposed to do. Have never had problems before today, literally.

I'm new to google forms/sheets so my assumption it would work pretty much like excel, I was bummed when my formulas that I created to supplement the form data were changing....... I'm not sure how I finally came across copy down - probably googled "formulas keep changing in google sheets". Copy down was the answer to my issues. Lifesaver!
