Overview
Convert Google Slides to GIF images and MP4 video files. Add background music and voice narration to your exported presentations. Export Google Slides as PNG image sequences, download Speakers Notes from slides. Sync Google Slides with YouTube using Slidecasts

Unlike Microsoft PowerPoint, Google Slides doesn't offer a native option to save presentations as videos. Creator Studio adds new export capabilities to your Google Slides and you'll be able to download your decks as animated GIFs, image sequences, and HD video (with audio).

Important: Please note that transitions effects, slide animations and embedded audio/video files are not available in the exported video due to limitations of the Google Slides API.

GIF Image

An infinite looping animated GIF image is created that is perfect for sharing inside email messages and blog posts. You can even make stop motion animations by keeping the time interval very low (say 0.2 seconds).

Image Sequence

Creator Studio will capture screenshots of each slide in your presentation and save it as a numbered PNG file in your Google Drive folder. Internally, it uses the Google Slides API to generate these thumbnail images.

MP4 Video

Like the GIF image, Creator Studio will produce an MP4 video file from your deck and you can also vary the time interval between slides.

Video with Audio

You can upload any audio file in MP3 or WAV format and it will play alongside the presentation. You can upload background music or even voice narration that will play in the background while the video is playing.

Speaker Notes

With Creator Studio, you can easily extract Speaker Notes from your Google Slides presentation. Go to the Addons menu inside Google Slides, choose Creator Studio, and select Speaker Notes from the menu.

Slidecasts

With Slidecasts, sync your video lectures on YouTube with PowerPoint presentations hosted on Google Slides. The video and presentation play side-by-side, and slides auto-advances in sync with the video.

The idea of this is great, and it would be great....IF it worked correctly. I have students who use this extension to create gifs from Google Slides. The gifs almost always skip--as in, leave out entire sections of slides. The result is a gif that is incomplete and choppy and looks dumb. Granted, there are a lot of slides in the decks. But there's nothing I've seen with this extension that says there's a slide limit. And it happens on shorter conversions too. It's very random when it works though. I've also tried a conversion to a video option and it does the same thing. If the developer could fix the problem so that slides wouldn't be skipped, it would really be great. Because I can't find any other extension to do this conversion. If you use it though, it's just a coin toss as to whether or not it will actually work correctly.

Piece of crap. Paid for "premium". Creates videos for Google Slides, but does not maintain the transitions you create within those slides. Useless. I want my money back. You will see the request in PayPal.

2.5 stars if that was an option. Simple for the most part and easy to get done once you figure it out. The main thing that got me was the new pop up: it was "extensions" instead of "add-on." As an add on I wasn't aware that each slide can only be four seconds or less.

Why can the sides only be 4 seconds long? That's complete useless.

Here are my thoughts: 1. I have tried pretty much every add-on available for Google Slides that turns the slides into a video. This is the only one that has produced any sort of result. 2. Takes a very long time to boot up. Not sure what's up with that. 3. Once it opens, it has a simple interface that's easy to navigate. You choose the dimensions, the time interval, and the video format. It automatically gives you a free trial, and it says after a certain period it will lock some features behind a paywall. I don't really care, since I'll probably only need to use this once. 4. Once it created the video (the farthest I've gotten from any other add-ons!!!) I noticed some of the slides were oddly pixelated. There is also a 15-second blank space at the front of the video, which shouldn't be too hard to crop out. It also skipped my first slide. 5. Honestly I'm fine with what I got. I don't need a really good video, I need a slideshow that can go on in the background. I would not pay for this though, since there are obviously some bugs.
