Edit a small CSV without converting it to a spreadsheet. Launch CSV Editor from Google Drive™’s Open with menu, or create a new CSV from Google Drive™’s New menu. Change cell values, add rows, and save changes back to the same Google Drive™ file. Save as creates a separate CSV in your Google Drive™ when you choose that action. Text values, including leading zeroes and formula-like strings, stay text. Open one UTF-8 CSV at a time, up to 2 MB, 25,000 cells, 5,000 rows and 200 columns. CSV contents travel directly between your browser and Google. Opening from Google Drive™ starts Google authorization automatically. An authorization service briefly exchanges the authorization code and hands the access token to the open tab without retaining tokens or receiving CSV contents. Unsaved edits remain in the open tab. No Loam account or paid subscription is required. Save checks for changes before updating the original file. A detected conflict stops the save and keeps your edits. Another edit made during saving could still be overwritten because Google does not provide an atomic version check for this flow. Use Save as if others may be editing the source. Keep the tab open until a save is confirmed; closing or refreshing discards unsaved edits. This listing covers the Google Drive™ integration only. It does not provide Gmail™ attachment editing, native Google Sheets™ editing, shared-drive support, background synchronization or offline access.
