Overview
This add-on contains 15 custom functions that extend the existing SUM, COUNT and AVERAGE functions to allow the user to perform the aggregations according to the format of the cells - background colour, font colour, and font style. There are also functions in the package that allow you to perform the aggregations across multiple sheets (within the same spreadsheet) without the need for complex formulas.

Turning things into strings with quotation marks throws me off a little bit but otherwise very cool, thank you.

Seriously? Ranges and cell references have to be put in quotation marks? This means that to copy the formula across a range of rows/columns, I have to edit each single cell to update the row/column reference manually instead of having it relative reference automatically. This is a deal breaker.

Worked perfectly for counting conditional format coloured cells. Unfortunately it doesn't automatically update when changes are made so you'll need to manually change the formula and then change it back to get it to recalculate.

I specifically needed to count cells based on background color. This app does that just fine. The problem is, if you change colors or add new cells of the same color, it does not automatically recalculate. This renders the whole process useless since it would be distributed out to others to use. If everyone has to modify the formula to recalculate, it is a waste of time. The formula worked very well but you should really find an automated workaround instead of only suggesting the repass in the help file.

brilliant! I think a lot of people would find this more helpful if they reference the Example Sheet to see the breadth of potential (and exactly which formula you need to enter)

Hopeless. I tried a simple calculation for adding value in cells then minus the value in cells that contained a strikethrough. I was mistakened in realising it was calculating the value in the cells and minusing the number of cells that had a strikethrough rather than the value in them...*sigh*

Easy to use, but does not update so kind of pointless in all honestly. Had high hopes, but they were crushed

Seems like the answer to summing up the same cell across multiple sheets, until i got to auto-calculate; if the only way is recalc is to edit the formula, that's not going to fly....unless I'm missing something...back to Excel..

I installed this add-on for the SUMALLSHEETS function, which I hoped would work like Excel but sadly it doesn't auto-update when one of the computed values changes. To update the sum the formula must be edited or, in the case of several SUMALLSHEETS being used on the same page, the page must be reloaded. I don't see how this is any better than using a longer formula like Sheet1!A1+Sheet2!A1+Sheet3!A1. I haven't tried any of the count-by-color, etc. functions of this add-on so I can't comment on those.
