DicomTube brings collaborative medical imaging review directly into your Google Meet™ calls: a shared viewer where everyone in the meeting looks at the same DICOM study at the same time. Perfect for teaching rounds and remote case readouts.

What it does

Once you open the DicomTube add-on from the Google Meet™ Activities panel, you can pull up any case from DicomTube and put it on the shared main stage. Every participant — including people who join late — instantly sees the same study, no screen sharing required. Because the imaging renders natively in each participant's browser instead of being streamed as video, it stays crisp and responsive for everyone.

Key features

- Shared DICOM viewer on the main stage. Scroll through slices, zoom, and pan a study that everyone in the call sees in sync — no blurry screen-share, no "can you go back one image?"
- Search and present any case. Find studies from your DicomTube library right inside the Google Meet™ side panel, or pick from a saved playlist to walk through a prepared set of cases.
- Live presenter cursor and state sharing. By default, everyone sees the case exactly as you (the presenter) have on your screen. Your cursor position is also shared, so the whole room follows exactly what you're describing.
- Flexible presenting modes:
  - Presenter only — you drive, everyone watches.
  - Allow hotseat requests — hand the controls to a participant so they can take over and navigate the study themselves.
  - Free for all — everyone explores the same case independently at their own pace.

Requirements

A DicomTube account is required to present cases but you can also login directly with your Google™ account (which will automatically make a DicomTube account for you if you don't have one already). The add-on runs entirely inside Google Meet™; no installation or plugin beyond enabling the add-on is needed.
