Overview
DocSecrets hides and encrypts sensitive information such as passwords, patent ideas or other secrets.

Using the DocSecrets sidebar you can insert secrets into your document, displayed as a highlighted text-areas. Given the correct passphrase the sidebar shows all secrets in your document.

You may edit, reveal or remove your secrets. DocSecrets automatically tracks your cursor position and highlights the current secret.

DocSecrets supports document sharing and enables you to censor parts of your document. If you reveal your passphrase to your collaborators they to can view and edit secrets.

All encryption is performed in your browser using your passphrase and AES encryption. This passphrase is never sent to or stored on Google servers. This means that only you can decrypt your secrets so pick a passphrase that you can remember. If you forget it all secrets will be lost.

All information that you enter using DocSecrets is encrypted and stored in your document or as document properties i.e. under your Google account.
