Okay, I came back to this old man of an application (to me anyways) and I just remembered the memories I had with this application. Back then when the organization administrator was SUPER strict and so was the IT department, they would lock the Chromebooks when school hours are up and especially block the camera, to mainly prevent stalkers or hackers from hacking into the device cameras. I remembered this application had a certain camera program that allowed the camera to be used, going against the rules from my organization. This was the only app that could use my Chromebook camera and it was fun to play around and it has never been blocked since. Believe me, you could not take pictures, record yourself, or even use google lens! That was so disastrous back then... But now this app no longer serves me a purpose since the organization admin has gave us a little more freedom. But back then, the IT would go as far as to spy and listen from the Chromebooks even when it was at school or your house. Since they were the only ones who had "access" to it. And it has been like that until Google TOS updated and the government told the school that they were not allowed to spy on students at their homes since that could lead to lawsuits. Anyways, I loved your app and I hope to wonder if this has its own application in the google play store or apple store. I apologize if I had written such an essay review for just a camera application that hooked up to your drive. Stay safe and be careful what you use on the internet, and keep your google drive permission and google access to yourself. It is hard to not come across dangerous applications or websites these days on the internet.

A User of Drive Webcam, Camera for Drive

At first my anti-malware blocked it as a known phishing host. So I unblocked it. Connected it. It showed up as an option in my gmail to view the video file with, but when I open Drive Webcam, it says "login fail" even though I've already logged into Google Drive and have it open. So I close that alert box and click on "Sign in with Google", and login fails again and I get the alert box telling me to login again Round and round. Useless.

You don't need to log in with google, just take your photo, and right click (or click both left and right same time for Chromebook) and then click save image as... and it works. Although, I don't enjoy the lay out and everything, it's a little crappy.
