Cost to Borrow:
Cost to Borrow are the fees and rebates in connection with short selling stock. Data comes from Interactive Brokers (IBKR) and is updated every 15 minutes. The Fee is the amount a short selling client pays and is expressed as a percentage of the share price. If there is no data for a stock for a particular 15-minute period, it means there are no shares to borrow. More information on fees and rebates can be found at Interactive Brokers.

Failures to Deliver:
The Jive Data Add-on for Google Sheets also includes data for Failures to Deliver, provided by the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC). The values of total fails to deliver shares represent the aggregate net balance of shares that failed to be delivered as of a particular settlement date. If the aggregate net balance of shares that failed to be delivered is less than 10,000 as of a particular settlement date prior to September 16, 2008, then no record will be present in the file for that date even if there are fails in that security. If the aggregate net balance of shares that failed to be delivered is zero as of a particular settlement date on or after September 16, 2008, then no record will be present in the file for that date. Fails to deliver on a given day are a cumulative number of all fails outstanding until that day, plus new fails that occur that day, less fails that settle that day. The figure is not a daily amount of fails, but a combined figure that includes both new fails on the reporting day as well as existing fails. In other words, these numbers reflect aggregate fails as of a specific point in time, and may have little or no relationship to yesterday's aggregate fails. Thus, it is important to note that the age of fails cannot be determined by looking at these numbers. In addition, the underlying source(s) of the fails-to-deliver shares is not necessarily the same as the underlying source(s) of the fails-to-deliver shares reported the day prior or the day after.

Regulation SHO:
The Jive Data Add-on for Google Sheets also includes data for Regulation SHO. As defined in Rule 203(c)(6) of Regulation SHO, a “threshold security” is any equity security of any issuer that is registered under Section 12 of the Exchange Act, or that is required to file reports under Section 15(d) of the Exchange Act (commonly referred to as reporting securities), where, for five consecutive settlement days: There are aggregate fails to deliver at a registered clearing agency of 10,000 shares or more per security; The level of fails is equal to at least one-half of one percent of the issuer’s total shares outstanding; and the security is included on a list published by a self-regulatory organization (SRO). A security ceases to be a threshold security if it does not exceed the specified level of fails for five consecutive settlement days.

Short Interest:
The Jive Data Add-on for Google Sheets also includes Short Interest data published by the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA). Short Interest is a snapshot of the total open short positions existing on the books and records of brokerage firms for all equity securities on a given settlement date. Short interest data is collected for all stocks—both those that are listed and traded on an exchange and those that are traded over-the-counter (OTC). FINRA and U.S. exchange rules require that brokerage firms report short interest data to FINRA on a per-security basis for all customer and proprietary firm accounts twice a month, around the middle of the month and again at the end of each month. FINRA publishes the short interest reports it collects from member firms for all exchange-listed and over-the-counter equity securities.
