Put equations in Google Docs or Slides with the power of LaTeX and the simplicity of a graphical editor. This editor is based on MathQuill, the same GUI-based math editor used by the popular online graphing calculator Desmos. LaTeX can also be inserted directly.

-Equations are editable. Once the equations are exported, they can be re-imported using the Import Saved Equation button.
-Supports all CodeCogs compatible LaTeX expressions.

Permissions Explained
View and manage documents that this application has been installed in - To insert equations into a google document the add-on needs to be able to edit the document.
Connect to an external service - This add-on needs to connect to an external service to render the LaTeX code.
Display and run third-party web content in prompts and sidebars inside Google applications - This permission is necessary to use a GUI editor in the sidebar.

It taken a big step downwards in quality and useability. Can not replace images and not dpi? Poor.

Really slick, giving it 5 stars because it is more like what I need than any other free editor. Typing latex is ultimately as powerful but less clunky than math type style editors. Please make the automatic bracket closing optional.

I like the ability adding fractions into my Google Slide documents. I just wish we were able to control the font and color. The equation looks grayed out.

I think google broke it somehow, it's not putting in images for me all of a sudden. Also, did not realize I could import an image from an equation I had already made, that would've saved me SOOOO much effort the last 3 months..... 🤦‍♂️
