Our company used Expensify for about 3 years and it quickly became the bane of our existence. The software just does not work. It breaks consistently and has caused us hours and hours of extra time trying to get it fixed. Their support is laughable. You cannot call them, only email. and the first email you get is worthless and all they say each time is, "Sorry for your inconvenience. Try doing A, B or C". (Which we have already done so zero help). So then you get into an email back and forth for days until they finally tell you there is nothing they can do. IF their software worked it would have been ok. IF they had phone support where you could talk in person (like Quickbooks and most of our other software partners) it would have been mega tons better. Honestly, the day we announced we were leaving Expensify....everyone in the company was thrilled!

Everyone in our organization loves it. Me Especially as we use quickbooks online and the review and approval processing is fast and easy to read the snapshot of expenses. To boot, having the PDA ("Crack"Berry / "Fruit"Phone") support makes things even easier! However, the big catch is the small number of states that can actually reimburse using a debit or credit card, and the lack of real automation if one wishes to use ACH as a way to reimburse. Another small drawback is the number of users limitation and the alternative to actually add more users. If you guys take care of these two issues I will stop looking at other alternatives. Great Job!

Everything (almost) is thought through. Works incredibly smooth. Good overview. Very flexible use. And the pricing for a small non-profit org. like ours is very gracious Only reason why I cant rate it 5 stars is that it doesnt support mileage in kilometers. Being continental Europe we have to make our own clumsy work-around leaving a few of our colleagues bewildered and sceptical. Too bad, cause it's a very sleek app.

Our small business has been using Expensify for several years - it's an outstanding service and it only gets better. I've worked for a number of large corporations and their expense systems are all convoluted and in general just suck. No one enjoys manually keying all of their expenses in to a slow and buggy Oracle system that probably cost hundreds of thousands of dollars to stand up and maintain. Expensify is truly the best of the best in demonstrating how to make such a routine pain in the a** task a pleasure for both employees and employers. And the pricing is extremely reasonable and affordable for even the smallest companies. Also as a small business it's impressive to your employees that you have a more refined expense system than all the larger companies they have worked for. The killer features to me are the ability to integrate with Google Apps, the automatic pull of transactions from credit card providers, ability to forward receipts to Expensify, and now the direct deposit up to $10,000 feature. I wish there were more outstanding services like this available. If only we could do our timecards through Expensify!

Overall Expensify is a very powerful software. The preset templates that pull data from your bank accounts and show detail summary monthly/quarterly/annually is very helpful and easy. There are minor bugs that I reported that can make setup very difficult. Linking Freshbooks is much easier than Quickbook because you don't need to confirm the certificate from the QB software and it can only manually update unless you continuously run QBs (not expensify's fault). There were some other minor issues with setting policies but at least everything is very intuitive. Their customer support is very responsive. They will get back to you immediately which is important for financial transactions. However, I am not impressed with their solutions and their attention to detail is spotty, in my experience, they usually don't end up solving the issue. This software will save you a lot of time and I would recommend it to my friends.

Takes the hassle out of expense reporting. My employees love the easy to use mobile apps. I appreciate how easy it is to manage it all. In one click I approve the report and export it straight into QuickBooks. After that I just need to print a check and I'm done. With the integration with GApps, I don't event need to log in. Also, Expensify's customer support has been great.

We love expensify! We are a small but growing company, and our employees travel a lot. We needed a better solution for expense reports than cumbersome excel spreadsheets, photocopying receipts, and physical signatures. Expensify makes it very easy to submit, review, approve, and reimburse reports for our staff. It's easy to use and the team is very responsive.

I used to always have a pocket full of paper receipts, but thanks to Expensify I am now receipt free! This app is THE solution to receipt clutter and expense report procrastination. There's nothing else like it. Really a fantastic product.

Android app is extremely slow and crashes frequently Tax doesn't work - which is the primary reason we need expense reporting Overly complicated to set up and use, so nobody will actually use it We had plans to use it with a large team but finally gave up after extensive testing We chose Shoeboxed, which does everything expensify does and more, with a far simpler UI and better Android app.
