Footnote Style allows you to define a style for footnotes just as you can for headings and normal text. Its menu uses the same commands that Docs uses for standard styling. NOTE: Footnote Style ignores italics, bold, underlining and links. This is because clearing those style attributes from footnotes is undesirable (for example, when a footnote includes formatted references). There is no easy way to tell which text the user wants to stay italicised, for example, and which text to clear italics from.
