Okay, I just figured out how to fix this issue. From your responses spreadsheet, select "Form", then "Edit Form." This will take you to your form. In the top right, they have now added a puzzle piece. Select the puzzle piece and then select "Form Notifications." From there, you can "Configure Notification". So glad it works!!!! It went down for a while, but now it's back up. It's just on the form now, instead of the responses spreadsheet. Good luck!

Doesn´t work :( No e-mails sent, only notices you the need of authorising but no known way to do that... Why to put this into add-on store, if it does not work at all... For a while it worked in old Google Forms but then it stopped working there aswell :( :(

Would love to have the form responses included in the email. Not everyone in our group has access to the spreadsheet, so it would be easier to share the responses.

I suggest 'Form Confirmation Emails' add-on (developed based on Form Notifications code) as an other solution for confirmation and notification emails. It support Html formatting for email's content. So, you can setup the professional email with banner, link, and any submission's answers as you want. You can choose send or not based on respondent's multi-choices and select list answers. The add-on also let you and your form's collaborator setup the sending configurations separately.

As with the other reviews already posted, this would easily be worth 5 stars if the developers can integrate a way of using the form details to build in the body/subject. E.g. Dear <FIRST_NAME> <LAST_NAME>, Thank you for registering for <EVENT_TYPE> etc Apart from that, this is a great feature that wasn't previously there. Will raise rating to 5 stars if we can get the above!

It is simple and useful, thanks! But it would be really nice to be able to send the respondent some summary of particular submitted fields. And I completely agree with the other suggestions.

Simply doesn't work. Doesn't send to me, nor to the email address of the submitter. Have tested several times, get nothing.

This used to work GREAT. But now it tells me there is a Script Error and I don't have permission to set up notifications on my own Google Form. I can't get into the Scrypt editing to fix it, either. EDIT: Thank you to the people who have shared a work-around using the native Tools in the Google Spreadsheet that receives Form responses. Unfortunately, that tool is limited to notifying the gmail account associated with the Form, rather than an individual's work email address. I guess I'll set up a filter in the gmail account to forward emails from this Google Sheet notification to the individual who needs to receive them.

"ScriptError: Authorization is required to perform that action." Installed the add-on, selected the same Google account that the form was under, clicked approve to the rather lengthy list of permissions, and experienced an authorization error when clicking the puzzle piece, attempting to save, or doing virtually anything in the add-on. Came across https://mms.quicklution.com/help---faq/scripterrorauthorization which led to solving the issue. It appears you cannot have multiple Google accounts logged in when using the add-on (or at least the one using the add-on has to be the default) By the way, the logo graphic for this add-on appears as a broken link that is supposed to show some image from some Drive account. I get the feeling the developers have abandoned this one.

Updated the form, and the add-on no longer works. Received this message via email, but there is no link to click, and "running the add-on through the menu" does not make sense; how does one do that? I opened the configure window and saved it again, but no luck. Would really appreciate some guidance here. Great add-on, WHEN IT WORKS. The Google Forms add-on Form Notifications is set to run automatically whenever a form is submitted. The add-on was recently updated and it needs you to re-authorize it to run on your behalf. The add-on's automatic functions are temporarily disabled until you re-authorize the add-on. You can accomplish this by opening one of the forms using the add-on and running the add-on through the menu. Alternatively, you can click this link to approve authorization directly: Click here to re-authorize the add-on. This notification email will be sent to you at most once per day until the add-on is re-authorized. This automatic message was sent to you via the Form Notifications add-on for Google Forms. Form Notifications was created as an sample add-on, and is meant for demonstration purposes only. It should not be used for complex or important workflows. The number of notifications this add-on produces are limited by the owner's available email quota; it will not send email notifications if the owner's daily email quota has been exceeded. Collaborators using this add-on on the same form will be able to adjust the notification settings, but will not be able to disable the notification triggers set by other collaborators.
