GA4 Migrator for Google Analytics™ allows Google Analytics account administrators to manage automated GA4 property configuration settings, migrate user permissions, as well as audience definitions from their Universal Analytics properties (old version of the Google Analytics) to GA4 properties (new version of the Google Analytics). The user permission migration process consists of 3 steps: Step 1: Import user permissions from a Universal Analytics property. Step 2: Decide how to migrate each user. At this step, you need to review the generated report in Sheets which contains user roles based on the existing permissions in the specified Universal Analytics property and its views (profiles). For each user, choose one role that they will be granted on the specified target GA4 property. Step 3: Migrate users to a GA4 property. Specified user permissions will be created on a target GA4 property. The result of this operation will be displayed in a separate Sheet. Similarly, to migrate audience definitions follow these steps: Step 1: Import audience definitions from a Universal Analytics property. Step 2: Decide how to migrate each audience definition by following instructions in the Compatibility Notes column. Step 3: Migrate selected audience definitions to a GA4 property. The result of this operation will be displayed in a separate Sheet. Note that not all audience definitions from Universal Analytics are currently compatible with GA4.
