Good Dog's Built-in Sidebar

After sniffing out potential barriers, the issues are listed in a sidebar in three categories: Errors, Warning, and Information. Click an issue card in the sidebar, and follow the inline markers. When you move, the markers are removed.

What Good Dog Hunts

Good Dog is trained to identify fourteen different heuristic accessibility issues. He detects missing or low quality alt-text for images, with an inline tool to add or modify alt text, or mark an image as decorative. He sniffs out skipped heading levels and duplicate titles to ensure a clear trail for screen readers. He analyzes text and background colors to ensure they meet WCAG AA contrast ratios. He also flags small font sizes and spacing errors that impede readability. Finally, he identifies non-descriptive link text like “click here” and bare URLs that disrupt the reading experience.

As with all automated checkers, a manual review of your document is required to address issues that Good Dog isn’t trained for.
