Use =GPT("Write a product title for", A2) like any other formula and fill it down a column. Rows are processed in bulk, so you can write, rewrite, translate, summarize or categorize thousands of cells in one pass. When you are happy with the results, replace the formulas with static values in one click so nothing is recalculated.

Ready-made functions for everyday work
• =GPT_TRANSLATE() translates text into the language you choose.
• =GPT_SUMMARIZE() shortens long text to a few sentences or bullet points.
• =GPT_CLASSIFY() and =GPT_TAG() sort text into your own categories or add tags.
• =GPT_EXTRACT() pulls names, emails, prices or other details out of free text.
• =GPT_FORMAT(), =GPT_SPLIT(), =GPT_LIST() and =GPT_TABLE() clean, split and restructure data.
• =GPT_FILL() learns a pattern from a few examples and applies it to the remaining rows.

Choose the model for each task
Every formula can use a different AI model, for example =GPT(), =CLAUDE() or =GEMINI(), so you can compare answers side by side and keep the one that works best. Start with the included trial credits or connect your own API keys.

AI chat for your spreadsheet
Open the chat in the sidebar and ask questions such as "Which region had the highest sales last quarter?" or "Find duplicate emails in column C and highlight them." The assistant reads the rows you select, explains what it found and proposes the changes. You review the plan, apply it with one click and can undo it.

Web research and SEO
=GPT_WEB_SEARCH() answers a prompt using current information from the web. =SERP() lists the search results for a query, and =WEB_TITLE(), =WEB_DESCRIPTION() and =WEB_HEADINGS() read the title, meta description and headings of any page. =SEO_BLOG() and =SEO_STRATEGY() turn a list of keywords into article drafts and content plans.

Images and vision
=GPT_CREATE_IMAGE() generates an image from a text prompt, and =GPT_VISION() describes an image or reads the text in it.

Connect your other tools
=API() calls a REST API directly from a cell, so you can pull data into the sheet or send results to your own services.

GOOGLE DOCS™

Generate full articles, product descriptions, summaries and article ideas from a short brief, or rephrase, improve and continue text you already have. Choose from 14 writing tones and more than 35 output languages, then insert the result into your document.

GOOGLE SLIDES™

Create a presentation from a topic or from your notes. Pick fonts, colors and a layout style, and the add-on builds the slides with titles and content that you can edit like any other presentation.

GOOGLE FORMS™

Generate questions for quizzes and surveys from a topic or a piece of text. Choose the question types (multiple choice, checkboxes, dropdown, short answer or paragraph), the grade level and the output language, and add the questions straight to your form.

GETTING STARTED

1. Install the add-on.
2. Open a spreadsheet, document, presentation or form.
3. Go to Extensions → GPT for Sheets™, Docs™, Slides™, Forms™ and open the add-on.
4. Type a formula such as =GPT("your prompt", A1), open the chat, or use the sidebar in Docs™, Slides™ and Forms™.

You can try the add-on with free trial credits; no API key is needed to start.

TROUBLESHOOTING

If you see "Authorization is required to perform that action", sign in to the browser with a single Google account or use a separate browser profile. In a Google Workspace™ organization, your administrator may need to allow the add-on.
