GPTSheet brings AI and live data into Google Sheets™ — without sending your data through a middleman. You bring your own API key from the AI provider you already use, or point GPTSheet at any compatible endpoint, including a model hosted on your own server. GPTSheet stays out of the loop: your prompts go directly from your spreadsheet to your chosen model, and your connector data flows directly from your authorized sources into your sheet. Nothing transits our servers.

AI cell formulas
Drop AI inside any cell. =AI generates text, =AI_TABLE produces a structured table, =AI_CLASSIFY tags rows, and =AI_EXTRACT pulls clean fields out of messy text — 14 formulas in all, covering lists, translation, formatting, matching, splitting, and tagging. Premium unlocks three more: analyze images with =AI_VISION, get web-grounded answers with =AI_WEB, and generate images directly into cells with =AI_IMAGE.

Bring your own model
Connect any of the three major AI model providers we support with your own API key, or use any endpoint that speaks the industry-standard chat completions format — hosted or local. Point GPTSheet at your own server and your prompts never leave your infrastructure. (Local endpoints work in the sidebar tools; cell formulas run on Google's servers and need a publicly reachable endpoint.)

Sidebar tools
The Prompt tab gives you a clean canvas to draft, test, and refine a prompt before turning it into a cell formula. The Bulk tab applies one prompt to a whole column in a single batch — useful for classification, cleanup, or translation across hundreds of rows.

Chat agent (Premium)
A sidebar chat that knows your sheet. Ask it to summarize a column, chart revenue by month, find duplicates in a range, or pull fresh numbers from a connector and write them where you point. The agent reads your active selection, can call any connector you have configured, and writes results back into the sheet. A cross-provider model picker lets you choose the exact model for each conversation.

Data connectors (optional add-on packs)
Pull live business data into a sheet with one click. Seventeen connectors, grouped in four packs:

Business analytics: payment and subscription metrics from your billing platform, website traffic and search performance, video channel analytics, product analytics events and funnels, and newsletter subscriber stats.

Databases: five widely used relational and NoSQL databases. Browse tables and preview any of them with one click, import any query result, or use Ask SQL — describe what you want in plain language and GPTSheet writes the query for you.

Workspace: sync structured records with popular workspace database and no-code table apps.

Social audiences: follower growth, post performance, and account metrics from three major social platforms.

Every connector ships with a curated set of pre-defined actions plus a Custom Report builder — compose your own query through a wizard, no API knowledge needed.

API Fetch (Premium)
Define any HTTP request, save it, and the agent can call it as a tool. Use this to plug in any API we don't ship a connector for — including your own internal services.

Imports & auto-refresh
Every action you run can be saved as an Import — GPTSheet remembers the query and refreshes that sheet tab with one click, or on a schedule: hourly, every 6 hours, daily, or weekly. Imports survive sheet reloads and run server-side.

GPTSheet is built on a strict bring-your-own-key trust model:

• Your model API keys (or self-hosted endpoint address) live in your Google Account's Apps Script user properties and your browser's local storage. We never see, store, or proxy them.
• Connector credentials live the same way — local to you.
• Every API call runs inside your spreadsheet's Apps Script context, and responses go directly into your cells.
• Our servers handle exactly one thing: verifying your GPTSheet license key. Nothing else.
