Áttekintés
iAWE (Intelligent Academic Writing Evaluation Assistant) represents a research-grounded diagnostic tool designed to support English for Academic Purposes (EAP) students, educators, and researchers. Operating directly inside Google Sheets™, this bilingual assistant provides detailed, multi-dimensional feedback on academic texts to foster autonomous writing development.

And by bridging automated quantitative metrics with qualitative pedagogical analysis, iAWE acts as a supportive evaluator rather than a simple grammar checker. The tool focuses on structural clarity, scholarly conventions, and register appropriate for higher education.

Key Diagnostic Dimensions:
The assistant evaluates student texts across crucial academic writing dimensions, providing a diagnostic score (1 to 5), extracted text-internal evidence, and clear, actionable pedagogical suggestions for improvement:
Structure and Clarity (D1 to D5): Evaluates thesis and purpose development, paragraph unity, logical transition markers, and cohesion.
Vocabulary and Sophistication (D6): Automatically cross-references texts with the New Academic Word List (NAWL) to measure academic lexical command.
Academic Register (D8 and D9): Detects informal vocabulary, speculative assertions, or hyperbolic rhetoric, guiding students toward an objective, neutral academic tone.
Research and Citation (D11): Assesses the integration of external references, scholarly citations, and research attribution.
Hedge and Boost Control (D12): Guides students on how to appropriately express caution, modality, and certainty in their arguments.

Designed for Bilingual and Global Contexts:
Supporting both English and Modern Standard Arabic, iAWE allows users to process academic texts in their preferred medium. This makes it an ideal companion for international classrooms, bilingual institutions, and global researchers refining their prose.

Robust and Resilient Performance:
Built with production-ready resilience, the helper contains automated retry mechanisms and secondary model fallback pipelines. If network congestion occurs, the system dynamically manages requests to deliver feedback without disrupting the learning process.

How to Use iAWE:
1.Select the cell in Google Sheets™ containing your student essay or academic text.
2.Open the Extensions menu, locate iAWE 1.0, and launch the Control Panel.
3.Click Analyze Selected Cell to populate your spreadsheet with immediate, structured feedback mapped to international CEFR levels.
4.Use the custom batch feature to analyze multiple texts sequentially for research studies or course-wide reviews.

Student Privacy and Data Safety:
Privacy is paramount in educational spaces. iAWE is built on a zero-retention architecture. Student text is processed ephemerally through secure Google Workspace™ API endpoints. The add-on does not host, save, or train any underlying models on your academic writing, and personal student data remains entirely within your secure Google Sheets™ container.
