Browse 1800+ free icons from Font Awesome & Google Material Design directly in Google Docs. You can choose any color you want and the icons are imported in your document with a transparent background.
A very simple way to choose the perfect icons to illustrate your doc.

For now, 2 icon set are available via this add-on, for a total of more than 1800 icons:

Once you selected an icon and added it in your doc, right-click and select "Format options" to drop a shadow, add a reflexion and much more.

Throws error code: "We're sorry, a server error occurred while reading from storage. Error code PERMISSION_DENIED." Permissions are enabled.

A User of Insert icons for Docs

I don't normally write reviews, but so many people were saying that it didn't work for them. If you don't know, it's not under Insert then Icon. Its under Add-ons. That took me a second to figure out if any of those people are confused. Works great and is a fun addition for creative software development documents.

To all those whose isn't working - it isn't available or visible on .docx files you uploaded to Google Drive. It took me a few minutes, but your file HAS to be in Google Docs format. So if you uploaded a file .docx file (a Word doc), just open it with Google Docs, click File -> Save as Google Docs and save it as a Google Docs file. Now, if you open it, the option to insert icons is under the Add-ons -> Insert icons for Docs, and works just fine. A simple instructional or something like that would be a good idea. @Owner, if you want someone to pull up something, let me know. I do freelance work for small bits and pieces like this.

I see a lot of negative reviews saying it doesn't work. Tried it and works fine for me. Maybe they fixed the issue or maybe I just didn't encounter it, but I'm def a fan of this addon

A User of Insert icons for Docs

Afters installing you get the notification 'Sign in with Google temporarily disabled for this app' and only 'Help' shows in the menu. It's to bad because this addon is exactly what I wanted for Google Docs.
