UPDATED REVIEW 07-21-2021 from 9 years ago!! Used Insightly for about 9 years. 1st time Insightly ever called me before my renewal to discuss options. I scheduled a meeting was excited and interested to learn more about other products and services. However, the representative never followed up. Ironic considering their software is designed for CRM! I ended up switching to another service. OMG, the difference is amazing. Insightly looks dated. They raised prices over the last couple of years. The value proposition is questionable. One positive they did refund my annual subscription prorate with the implication they were doing me a favor as they referenced their terms of use. They needed to get their dig into me before I departed..... Customer this long you would have thought they would try to fight to keep me. Not so at insightly. --------------------------------------------------------------------- Started using it several months ago for our Professional business after evaluating several competitors. It has proven indispensable especially when you have customers. Integrates well with Google apps and backing up takes less than 1 minute. If you have customers and want to track and archive every activity--get insightly!!!!!!

Use the app for everything I do at work, from keeping client information to organising projects, to delegating tasks to different team members. Makes everything super easy and basically impossible to forget future tasks

This is an incredibly powerful CRM that can be effectively harnessed to help accomplish administrative tasks in a greatly reduced time. From a very helpful task management system to being able to customize customer records as needed, I would strongly endorse this product. It will greatly improve organizational efficiency and productivity.

STAY AWAY! Contacts don't always sync with Google. We've used Insightly for many years and they won't talk to us, email with us, allow us into the support community. They raised prices during COVID and provided no relief for small businesses. On top of this, the reason the app doesn't work is because of an error in their system. Now I can't even find people who work at our company by name in our emails.

Finally convinced everyone that our spreadsheets couldn't cut it anymore for organizing around client data. But we had so many nuances that we needed to track for each client, it was hard to find a CRM that was simple but also highly customizable. Insightly combined those two things for us perfectly and did so flawlessly. The reporting features are great, the screens are simple to understand, even for the people in our firm that were resistant to change. I would highly recommend Insightly to anyone looking to switch platforms or start fresh with their very first CRM. Hands down it was a game changer for our firm.

Insightly has been a great tool for us to manage relationships, share information with all our campus locations and help centralize many of our records and communications in one place. Insightly offers many free webinars to help new and even experienced users navigate how to use its platform. There have been many exciting upgrades this past year that make it much more user friendly. Our only hope and recommendation is that they will add a user friendly print button option that can be used to print out a easily readable PDF of each opportunity as needed for meetings. We utilize the functions daily between our 5 site locations and it costs way less than other CRM's. Highly recommend!

The best CRM I have ever used. I am a graphic designer and marketing person, and I use insightly daily in my workflow. I like how it is integrated with gmail, so if I am given revisions I can simply make the email a task and it gets added to my list for the day. It is also very cool how it starts to automatically create contacts and orgs based on the email info - so that you don't have to spend the time entering people into your database. Like all good software, insightly lets you decide how many or how few features you would like to use - it doesn't depend on you to manually fill out a bunch of things if you aren't going to use them. For me, this works great because I rely heavily on the tasks functions for easy projects, but also can use the project part for more involved stuff where i may be collaborating with more people. I recommend this all the time for it's ease of use and not intrusive nature - it simply works and is there when you need it, and doesn't require maintenance or data entry when its not in use.

It makes life so much easier...i'm live in my inbox and getting information from my CRM has never been easier. Email templates are essential to me, i love that i can inject them into my draft and even schedule emails.

Unfortunately, I am very disappointed by the Insightly CRM (you'll want to read to the end for details on their questionable ethics around cancelation of paid memberships before you pay for an upgraded account). The first issue I have with the program is that it really tricks you into upgrading. The clarity around each package is vague, you have to search some to really compare and even then once you're in they will sneak in reasons that you're required to buy up. As I began to explore the functionality, I noticed that it's not nearly as robust as other programs. It was often little things that were bothersome, for instance when you check off a task you have to go back to create another task instead of there being a quick and easy way on the same page to create a follow up task. There were many instances where I found that Insightly really wasn't as user friendly, time saving, or as advanced as other CRM's. Honestly, managing my leads manually was more efficient time wise than Insightly. However, these concerns alone wouldn't prompt me to share this review or give 1 star. Those just caused me to cancel my membership, no big deal. **** What prompts me to warn all of you is that they have a horrible cancelation practice. **** When you go to "downgrade" your membership (which was my initial goal- I didn't intend right off to cancel) you will find that you are not given that option. You can keep your level or service, or cancel. I chose to cancel, assuming that I would be given access to the program through the period that I'd paid for. I was not given that option, the cancelation is effective IMMEDIATELY as your only option. The worst part: although you've already pre-paid, and they force you to cancel effective immediately, they will NOT REFUND your prepaid lost time. But they don't warn you of this in any way before you actually cancel, nor do they give you a warning of when your renewal occurs so you can put a note for yourself to cancel the day before. This practice is a horrible example of integrity and is very disturbing. I am in the process of escalating my concern within the organization, and should the situation be rectified, will be happy to update my review.
