Turn this lesson into a whiteboard video.

KolaVid makes narrated whiteboard explainer videos: bold, simple drawings appear as a voice explains the idea, one point at a time. Teachers use it to turn lesson notes and slide decks into short videos for class, homework, flipped learning and revision.

How it works
1. Open your Google Doc or Google Slides presentation and click the KolaVid icon in the side panel.
2. KolaVid shows how much of the file it will use, with a short preview. In Slides it reads every slide in order, with your speaker notes. Want only part of it? Select some text, or some slides, and press "Use selected text only".
3. Press "Make a whiteboard video". kolavid.com opens in a new tab with your text ready. Check it, pick the length, voice and language, and press Make. New to KolaVid? Sign up and your video starts straight away. It's ready in about a minute.

KolaVid writes the narration from your material, draws the boards, and voices it in your choice of language. You can download the video or share a link with your class.

What the add-on can see
The add-on uses Google's "current document only" permissions: it can read the text of the file you open it in, and nothing else in your Drive. It reads that text only while its panel is open, stores nothing, and sends nothing until you press the button, which opens kolavid.com with the text. Up to 5,000 characters go at once, cut at the end of a full sentence; the panel tells you when a long file is cut.
