Lightdash for Google Sheets™ brings your company's trusted metrics directly into your spreadsheets. Instead of exporting CSVs or copy-pasting numbers, you connect once to your Lightdash instance and pull live, governed data from your data warehouse — using the same metric definitions your data team maintains in Lightdash.

• Browse your Lightdash projects and explores from a sidebar inside Google Sheets™.
• Pick the dimensions and metrics you need, exactly as they are defined in your semantic layer.
• Apply filters, including any required or default filters your data team has defined on the model.
• Run the query and load the results straight into your sheet, starting at the selected cell.
• Refresh the report at any time from the menu to pull the latest data into the same range.

WHY LIGHTDASH

Lightdash is an open-source business intelligence platform built on top of dbt. Your data team defines metrics once, in code, and everyone in the company — including spreadsheet users — gets consistent, up-to-date answers. This add-on means the numbers in your spreadsheet always match the numbers in your dashboards.

GETTING STARTED

1. Install the add-on and open a spreadsheet.
2. Open Extensions → Lightdash → Open report builder.
3. Enter your Lightdash instance URL and sign in.
4. Choose a project and explore, tick the fields you need, adjust filters, and click "Run & load into sheet".

REQUIREMENTS
