WHAT IT CAN DO
Google Docs™ already provides with some very cool, in-built smart chips for —

With this add-on, you can now extend this capability to practically any other 3rd party tool that you use in your every-day life.

INSTRUCTIONS
After installing the add-on, you can go about creating smart chips in one of two ways —

Option 1
1. Directly paste the URL of the 3rd party app on the Google Doc and hit the TAB key (in case the option shows-up)
2. Hover over the link and if it's not one of the open tools (ex: Wikipedia article link), you'll be prompted with a card to authorize the app and grant the necessary access
3. Once you've granted this add-on the permission to use your credentials and retrieve the data from the 3rd party app, you can hover over the link once again and see the desired result

Option 2
1. Click on the Link Previews add-on icon shown in the (right) side panel from your browser (in case the side panel's hidden, you can click on the arrow that says 'Show side panel' upon hover, at the right-bottom-corner of the browser)
2. Click the 'Connect' button from the tool that you'd want to use that are shown under the available tools option
3. You'll be prompted to authorize the app and grant the necessary access
4. Once you've granted this add-on the permission to use your credentials and retrieve the data from the 3rd party app, you can then paste the URL of the 3rd party app on the Google Doc and hit the TAB key (in case the option shows-up) and finally, hover over the link to see the desired result
