In addition to automation, you can also use Logic Sheet to import data from API or databases to your Google Sheets. You can use Logic Sheet to analyze your data statistically and extract meaningful insights from it.

A typical data-analysis task involves three steps: data collection, data cleaning, and data analyzing. With Logic Sheet, you can do them all in only one tool.

=====Data collection ====================

In the data collection process, you can use Logic Sheet to import data from external sources into Google Sheets. That includes importing data from API, databases, or webpages. Our API Connector can help you make GET and POST requests to API, and the Database Connector can help you pull data right from an online database.

With Logic Sheet's API Connector function, it's now easy to make POST GET PUT PATCH and DELETE requests to any JSON data source and import REST API data directly to your spreadsheet. This means you can import JSON from any URL.

Database browser: You can use Logic Sheet to connect to a MySQL database and import data from the database using our database connector function.

=====Data cleaning=====

In the data cleaning stage, you can use Logic Sheet to remove incorrect or superfluous data, as well as check for incompleteness or inconsistencies. For instance, you can use Logic Sheet to filter spaces in front of letters or symbols or remove duplicates.

- Remove duplicates: Remove all extra rows that have duplicate values in each cell to clean dataset.
- Case Converter: Change text casing of all values of the selected range into upper case, lower case, pascal case, title case, proper case, camel case, snake case, sentence case, train case, or kebab case.
- Unpivot data: Transform a pivot table into a regular tabular sheet.
- Split names: Use the Split names function to split a full name into smaller parts (first name, middle name, last name, salutation, suffix, etc.). The Split names function recognizes over 100 titles (Mr. Dr. Prof. etc.) and 50 post-nominals (CFA, Ph.D., etc.)
- Split address: Parse a column of addresses into smaller parts (street address, city, state, postal code, etc.)

Other clean data features:

- Remove leading spaces
- Trim trailing spaces
- Remove non-numbers
- Remove number
- Remove punctuations
- Format data and clean data
- Convert Unix timestamps

Finally, you can use Logic Sheet to run statistical analysis on your data and extract meaningful insights from it. That includes ANOVA, F-test, T-test, and more. With our analysis tool, you will be able to find hidden patterns, relationships, insights, and predictions from your data.

- ANOVA, or Analysis of variance: Use Logic Sheet to do ANOVA analysis, calculate the sum of squares, variance, mean squares, P-value, and F crit value. Both ANOVA (ANOVA Single Factor) and two-way ANOVA (two-factor ANOVA) are supported.

- Correlation: Find the correlation coefficient between two or more variables.

- Covariance: Calculate the joint variability of two random variables.

- Descriptive Statistics: Describe the basic features of the data including Mean, Standard Error, Median, Mode, Standard Deviation, Sample Variance, Kurtosis, Skewness, Range, Confidence Level (Confidence Interval), and more.

- F-Test for two sample variances: A test that uses the F-distribution. This function uses the F Test to compare two variances.

- z-test: a hypothesis test that determines whether two population means are different when the variances are given.
