Had some kinks in the past, but they all seem to be worked out now. I love that I can just copy charts from online, paste them onto sheets, and use MapChart for Sheets to make the data into maps.
I will say that the lack of color options and control when the map is colored according to numbers made it difficult for many maps to work for me at first (since many of my datasets are exponential), but I realized that the best way to do it most of the time is to sort by numbers in the numerical data column and color code the cell backgrounds numerically (or just use conditional formatting) and then on MapChart, color code according to the cell background color. This gives me full control over the exact colors I use and how I make my scale. For me, the best way to get a good palette was to find one online, paste it on the sheet, and use the color picker.
I just wanted to share this knowledge I gained in case anyone else experiences the same original limitations. Thanks for a great service!
