I have been building a custom indicator for the past several months and have tested a bunch of different data sources but struggled to get consistent results. In searching for a company that provided a data API that would service my needs I ran into many issues from unreliability to excessive cost that made them an unsustainable option. In my search I stumbled across Market Data App, my expectations weren't very high because of my previous experience and the fact they are a very new company. Boy was I wrong, these guys have been great and their solution is exactly what I needed not to mention at a price that makes sense and an upgrade path as my needs expand. 10/10 I will recommend this company to anyone with the need.

I find this a very useful service. It does everything that I need it to do. It is easy to interface with. I like the help desk. They are easy to interact with and very quick to reply. I use the service daily and find it has a great server uptime, I have never had an issue with the server being down and it is very fast interacting with my calls. The api interacts easily with your own software as well as google. It is very reasonably priced. They are adding new feeds all the time and users can request new items to be added. I like the fact it is growing and taking input from grass root users to grow in a way that suits the people using it rather than just giving a here it is attitude. I've used it for close to 12 months now so I believe I have given it a fairly good run. I think it is definitely worth a look at it you are look for stock market data that is easily accessible with good support.

Think of this company like a start up - they are scrappy and get things done. The product is simple, flexible, and just plain works. Yes, there has been a bug or two, but the team closed the major one within 36 hours so no complaints. The minor one persists for now and I bet it will be closed within a sprint or two. I wouldn't trust it enough to write a trading automation. However, for easy analysis and journaling, it's great. Highly recommended. And yep, I bought the pro because I was able to make a GSheet trading journal where I can dump trade logs from my brokerages as well as the current holdings and create great analyses far cheaper than the paid sites.

After trialing the free version for retrieving basic pricing on individual options and finding it works at least as well as my own functions did before Y! locked down their query2 API, I will say that it was easy to install and provided the basic function. I would like to upgrade so that I'm not limited in number of quotes, but I feel it's a bit pricey if I'm only using it for options prices, especially considering there will very likely be competitors soon (imagine it built into Sheets or offered as a feature from your favorite brokerage). And, I would DEFINATELY need it to stop returning #ERROR! after market close (just return the closing values and don't expect to be paid for free data) so that I can do my planning for the next market open. I understand why some are making it difficult to lock down even the delayed quote data, and this is a good alternative to roll-your-own. I'll look forward to fairer pricing and fixes to a few glitches. HTH.

Tried the free version which needless to say was missing a lot of features. Exchanged notes with the team who said they would implement some important upgrades if I got the lower tier paid version. I did just that - followed up on feature implementation - they then tried to backtrack and get me to get the higher tier paid version before implementing any changes I brought up the previous agreement and the team (likely the founder) then tried to gaslight me into thinking I was confused about the original exchange Bad guys / disingenuous - would not recommend

Had very high hopes for this and as a computer guy didn't have much problems getting it to run. Don;t think this would be the case if you are not a techie as a lot of stumbling blocks to get this to work. My goal was to get option pricing for the google sheets doc. marketdata did provide this but totally inaccurate. Tesla is one of the most actively traded options. Fidelity and Robinhood had accurate real time prices for the options. Totally disappointed that marketdata provided grossly inaccurate info

I have been using Market Data for a week and so far it's been great. I have a Google Sheet which needs to update around 80-120 cells several times a day with option pricing and delta values. This saves me a lot of time. The Google Sheet app on my iOS devices do not have the ability to open an add-on so I cannot tell the sheet on my iPhone to update the values as I can when I am on my laptop. Market Data provided a workaround so now Google Sheets on my iPhone will update the values and I can easily see the value of my positions.
