It used to work so well and represent anything I needed brilliantly. Wiris what are you doing? It's become so difficult to use. I'm disappointed. The program was great and was a fantastic time saver, but now... Not only has it become harder to use and take more time to use, it doesn't format as well with a number of functions. I am a University economist who has relied upon MathType for over ten years. It's tight integration with Microsoft Office and Google Suite take care of all my math needs. I have lecture slides from 2016 peppered with equations that I can revise at any time. The MathType platform is perfect for my needs. It is universal, equations can be inserted into virtually any document, then printed as PDFs without any loss of accuracy nor definition. It is also good value for money - the ratio of increase in productivity to cost is high. It has never failed me and I have not needed to update to other math software, none of which I have used were so powerful and versatile as MathType. The "free" ones are a huge waste of time.

The feature itself is something that should already exist but is in an extension for some reason and that extension is only free for 30 days. I use this feature 2-3 times a week (8-12 a month) so the fact that I should pay money for it seems very stupid. To me it's incredibly money hungry and if you're wondering whether you should buy it, you're better of finding a free one.

I've been using MathType for decades on Microsoft Word, so my complaint is a comparison. MathType for Google has most of the features I've come to appreciate, but there is one glaring difference for me: no keyboard shortcuts. Writing assignments and assessments for my high school students takes much longer when I have to move my hands from the keyboard to the mouse. With Google Docs being web-based, I don't know if these kinds these kinds of things are possible.

I have been a subscriber of MathType for many years and I 've had Automatic Renewal. On the day of renewal my credit card has been charged, but the MathType stopped working. Two days later it is still not working. The advice from the Math Type agents resulted only in a huge waste of my time and effort with no results.

I've been using the product for ~2 years in Microsoft Word and Powerpoint 2016 under Windows 10 Pro 64bit, I use it primarily for mathematical derivations with quite complex formula manipulations. For me, it is much more reliable and less tedious in MathType than in handwriting, and better predictable than, e.g., in Mathematica. The major advantage for me is the clarity of Ctrl+C - Ctrl-V operations working well on subexpressions, the recursive applicability of all typesetting features such as sub/super-scripting, fractions, etc., and the possibility of editing and clipboard transfers in several MathType windows. I never lost a single line, it never crashed. What I am missing, however, is a richer set of character sets, a better description of integration with other editing software (e.g., my Word installation stubbornly shows 2 MathType tabs, and once had to be reinstalled). For Word or PowerPoint documents, the formulas look good, they are scalable as images and still can be edited. I know nothing about its applicability for cooperative work with different tools used by different people. The weakest point is conversion to and from LaTeX. It kind of works, but sometimes needs some tweaks, depending on the other tool used to produce or accept the LaTeX (e.g. - accepting formulas from ChatGPT). Improving this functionality would be extremely useful for enabling cooperation and safeguarding sufficient lifetime of math-containing documents; with all respect, plain text is much more likely to survive than wiris. Overall, I find it much better than what MS Office offers, much more useful for work than direct LaTeX, but I feel that the subscription-based licensing and its price have exceeded what I'd consider appropriate for such a general utility which represents just a tiny fraction of the toolbox I need for my work.

Interface is easy enough to use, but actually getting it to open is like pulling teeth. You eventually have to pay for it and it's absolutely not worth paying for.

hard to use, the drawing feature is useless, and when i insert the equation, it replaces everything else that was on the slide. all it does is make an image which i can do by screenshotting a free webpage
