I love MathType in Microsoft Word, but MathType is TERRIBLE in Google Docs. The inserted equations are not in line with text. The resultant product looks sloppy and unprofessional. I am embarrassed to share my work with my students & colleagues. MathType as an extension in Google Docs is wonky. It is slow. The equation sizing is off. Math Type in Microsoft Word is much, much better in terms of text alignment, sizing, & speed/efficiency. My school district wants to eliminate Microsoft Office in favor of Google Suite to save money, so I hope the Google / MathType extension make big improvements in the near future.

I think this is really hard to use. The inserted equations go behind the text boxes, so I have to remove or resize them every time. Most of the time other parts I have already typed or inserted go away when I insert a new equation. It seems like this product should be more user friendly. I think it was a bad use of my money. I only use Google slides and Google docs and this is not helpful at all.

I have been using Mathtype for over ten years. I use it to build all my lectures in Physics and Calculus and Algebra. It has all the functions and notation I need. Mathtype works great in Microsoft office but not so good in Google Slides and Docs. All lectures are done in PowerPoint. Worth every penny and any hassle I went through to update. Thanks

It used to work so well and represent anything I needed brilliantly. Wiris what are you doing? It's become so difficult to use. I'm disappointed. The program was great and was a fantastic time saver, but now... Not only has it become harder to use and take more time to use, it doesn't format as well with a number of functions. Fix it Wiris, fix it..... or I'm done. Is this review helpful?

I am a University economist who has relied upon MathType for over ten years. It's tight integration with Microsoft Office and Google Suite take care of all my math needs. I have lecture slides from 2016 peppered with equations that I can revise at any time. The MathType platform is perfect for my needs. It is universal, equations can be inserted into virtually any document, then printed as PDFs without any loss of accuracy nor definition. It is also good value for money - the ratio of increase in productivity to cost is high. It has never failed me and I have not needed to update to other math software, none of which I have used were so powerful and versatile as MathType. The "free" ones are a huge waste of time.

The feature itself is something that should already exist but is in an extension for some reason and that extension is only free for 30 days. I use this feature 2-3 times a week (8-12 a month) so the fact that I should pay money for it seems very stupid. To me it's incredibly money hungry and if you're wondering whether you should buy it, you're better of finding a free one.

This works well enough, but the fact that you're asking for a paid subscription to keep using it after a month is disgraceful. Would not recommend.

It seems very difficult to edit a "box" after it is inserted in the presentation. There has to be a way to do so, but I don't see one. I have been deleting the entire box and inserting a new one just to make a minor edit. There has to be an easier way, but it is not intuitive.
