Open an Access database straight from Google Drive™ — right-click an .mdb or .accdb file and choose Open with → MDB and ACCDB Viewer. No Microsoft Access, no Java, no ODBC driver, no Windows: the database opens in the browser tab, on Windows, macOS and Linux alike. What you see: • Every table with its row count; Access system tables stay hidden • Each column with its Access type: Short Text, Long Text, Number, Currency, Date/Time, Yes/No, AutoNumber, OLE Object • Currency and Decimal as exact decimals, Date/Time sorted in time order, Yes/No as true and false • Relationships drawn as an ER diagram • Saved select queries shown as SQL text • Linked tables named, with the file their rows live in • Attachment fields as files you can preview and download Query it: • Read-only SQL on any table • Select several databases in Google Drive™ and open them together: each becomes a schema named after its file, so tables from different files join in one query • Export a result as CSV, JSON or Parquet Versions and passwords: • Access 97 through Access 2024 and Microsoft 365 — .mdb files from the Jet 3 and Jet 4 engines, .accdb files from ACE • An .accdb encrypted with a password asks for it in the page; the password is used in the tab to decrypt the file and is not stored or sent anywhere Privacy: The viewer asks only for access to the files you open with it. Your browser downloads the file directly from Google Drive™ and reads it in the tab — it never passes through our servers. Queries are read-only and nothing is written back to Google Drive™. Not shown: forms, reports, macros and VBA modules. Need to move off Access rather than look inside it?
