A Business Email compromise or a Phishing scam, is an email that looks legitimate, but is an attempt to steal your personal information. It tries to fool staff into believing it is from a reputable company who need some personal details, such as your account number, username, pin code or password. By supplying any of this information, staff may inadvertently give cyber criminals access to either bank account or credit card information, maybe even system passwords. The MetaCompliance Phish Reporter provides staff with a new way to report suspicious emails to nominated mailboxes. These phishing incident notifications alert those tasked with remediating business email compromise threats that action is required for that email. The Phish Reporter can be configured to suit the customers corporate messaging style and will appear as an option along the user’s side bar within the mail client. When a user clicks on the button, the currently selected email message will be forwarded to the configured internal mailbox for further action and remediation. User's will then receive a prompt requesting that they permanently delete the email from their inbox, thereby removing any threat from the user’s mail client.
