How it works:

You sign in to the Microsoft Teams Meeting add-on with your Microsoft work or school account. Go to your Google Workspace calendar to schedule a meeting, and then specify that it’s a Microsoft Teams meeting. Invite anyone with an email address. Your invitees will get an invitation with a couple of ways to join the meeting: a link to join the meeting, as well as information about how to dial in via phone if they need to.

Don't bother if you don't have a Microsoft account, even if another company you work with has invited you to theirs. Microsoft Teams is unable to make that connection and will deny you. Selected user account does not exist in tenant 'Microsoft Services' and cannot access the application '********-****-****-****-************' in that tenant. The account needs to be added as an external user in the tenant first. Please use a different account.

BIG ISSUE. If you already have meetings set up in Microsoft Teams and you want to sync them into your Google Calendar, GOOD LUCK. I have been at it for HOURS and still no sync. I have given access to everything and logged in and out. I have practically stood on my head and still NOTHING!! The refresh button is worthless. I have read several knowledge base articles wanting me to drill down on a Microsoft Teams Menu and click on something that doesn't exist so basically the SYNC option is MIA!!

Please help others by marking this review as helpful. For people wondering how this works, it adds Microsoft Teams button to select as a meeting room option (default being Google Meet). You may expect it to sync calendar invites but it does not. It is purely for creating an instant "Meeting Now" Teams Invite for video conference purposes. The issue that people face is due to how Teams work, with their backend emailing system being Exchange Online. If a Microsoft user sends a Teams invite to an internal user when your primary email system is Gmail, they receive an invite format that is only readable by Exchange server it is sent from. If you send it to an external domain user, Teams will use the default ICS format that supports all calendars. The fix for this is quite complex and hard to explain. What you would need to do is configure Gmail within the Exchange Admin Center as a valid connection and forward emails back to Gmail. You also need to configure the routing settings.

Not good for me. calendar made from google calendar using this add on with teams meeting link not reflected in teams app, and vice versa teams app calendars not reflecting in Gmail calendar. so what's the use of this add on?

Useless for personal accounts, and don't even tells it, neither in description nor in subtitle. And during installation code doesn't test for personal account limitation. Microsoft business as usual, in other words.
