Overview
This is a prototype of an HTML5 based mind mapping application. It lets you create neat looking mind maps in the browser.

You can use the app wherever you are, everything happens inside your browser on your machine.

There are many mind mapping applications out there. However, the desktop apps are often bloated and not intuitive, and most web apps charge you for premium features.

You spend most of your time inside your browser anyway. Why not create your mind maps here as well? This app tries its best to deliver you a smooth user experience that you know from desktop software products.

This app supports cloud storage via Google Drive.

It is a good tool with a medium level of features. It is painfully missing the ability to store additional notes/comments on a node. The decoration features are extremely limited. The save capabilities are badly in need of remediation. I can no longer use it in Chrome, it won't open the dialog to view Google Drive (it still works in Edge, however) Using a locally saved/stored file is terrible. The "Export as Image" layout is not what you see on the canvas; you have to toggle back and forth previewing the image and then going back and move the nodes around on the canvas and repeat to get it to print correctly. But, the real problem is that the tool isn't an active project anymore. It is in caretaker mode and new features are not going to happen, very unfortunate.

Does this also work on iPhone? Works fine on laptop but I can't drag new nodes (+ button works) or edit text via my phone, any way to fix that? Thank you

so far it is worthy an app to use. you can add images as well. I wish we could copy and paste the images but that is the only thing. Will continue to evaluate this week as I am also having my students use it. I will contribute $ because I do think it is worth it. word: make sure you save it to your drive. it will save to your title being the first node. put those key words in drive and it will show up, then right click to open with the mindmap tool.

The low rating of this app made me curious, because for me everything worked just fine. Then I noticed that most reviewers have actually missed some rather basic things, such as how to start the app (just read Azeem's replies) or how to allow it to save to drive (just read Azeem's replies) or how to open the drive file later (hey, guess what, just read Azeem's replies). Azeem, I don't know you man but really, top-notch support and nerves of steel! Good work! :) Oh, did I mention the adverts? Right... so... how can an honest developer make a buck these days? Few people seem willing to donate, so until the world is a bit more respectful towards this work, of course we need to use adverts to make something off countless hours of effort put into something. So yeah... that about covers it. Oh, right, one more thing: how do I donate to you Azeem?

I really liked using this initially - spent a couple of hours putting together a solid mind map. However am having major issues with having saved it to my Google Drive, it now will not open in the MindMap maker programme. I search the doc, find it, click on it, the opening wheel chuggs along - and then nothing. Help??

This app allows you to brainstorm in a visual way. I haven't used all of the features, such as inserting pictures, but simply the ability to map out my ideas and to move the arms around, and adjust the font and colors and size of the text makes it much easier for me to organize my ideas. This app also works well with Google Drive; those who are having problems with this should go into "Documents" first and "save as" -- once it is registered to Google Drive, through that method, the quick "save" button will function properly. I found the app frustrating to use on my cheap (small) Chromebook, which seemed to keep undoing text and kept adjusting the size of the thing when I didn't want it to, but once I switched to a full-sized laptop everything worked very well. Excellent tool for helping you to map out and explore your ideas. They include a lot of features in this app, making it a professional (rather than grade school) tool for brainstorming and controlling how your ideas appear spatially.

Slightly confusing to find the drawing canvas from the documentation. Ads and regular urls seems get look alike.. Otherwise its a good project.. quite handy

In general, seems nice, but after the first one or two items I cannot EDIT any of the node text. :( So it's a bit of a non-starter. I feel like if this bug got by, there's probably worse I've yet to uncover.

I just started using this app a few days ago. At first there was a great version labelled Mindmaps 2.0. But as far as I can tell that has disappeared and a much less usable version seems to be the only one available now. Bring back the 2.0 please - would give this 5 stars if the original version I was using was there!^_^

Really easy to use, it makes organizing larger lists of items (say...200 academic sources) easy. There is a slight learning curve at the beginning as far as use goes. Save frequently, especially if working with a more complex item. Also, I've seen multiple reviews report problems with advertising--I've not seen a single ad while using the app.
