The NumExt add-on lets you convert monetary values into their word representation. Just select the number along with its currency symbol, click on "Convert" and NumExt will return the word representation.

You can convert the value directly or preview the result before inserting it into the document. The add-on auto-detects the format and currency of the value, but you can fix those options when necessary.
