The quality of Paperpile is just going downhill. This "smart interface" that reads internet links does NOT import the year of publication. Instead, it records the year the publication was made accessible online. At least for American Chemical Society journals, most of these papers became available on-line in 2002. Trying to correct the year is ... let's just say... far from optimal. The earlier version of Paperpile was worth it. I am seriously considering canceling my subscription.

Doesn't work in the slightest. Searches provide no relevant results even when given the exact title or list of authors for a paper and citing by URL just gives (website) with no data

I love Paperpile but recently it has been a huge pain as my citation search window keeps disappearing. I don't understand why this keeps happening. I'll use Ctrl+Alt+P, it will pop up, and then when I want to start typing it disappears again. It's been months like this. I hope there is a fix.

App is unstable at times. Search window literally disappears. A lot. Good when it works.

i was great when I started using it, but now the search function does not work as expected. Searching for already cited items does not work at all.

I used to love it, but since a few weeks, I have to start the same search many times to have a result. Is it a temporary bug ?

Great stuff! Would send me over the moon to see the exact same functionality available for Google Slides, as well. Thanks for considering it! :-D

I don't really understand some of the comments, it continues to work for me using the Chrome plug-in. And the permissions to Google Drive is because that is where all the pdfs are stored for you, so they require access to that space. It's not perfect and for policy research reports etc it continues to not be able to install the citations properly but I think that is more to do with the organisations publishing these not appending DOI type to the pdfs. I guess anyway. Anyway, it's ease of use mean that I favour this over other products still, but then I also get it paid for by the university.
