It's useful and I will continue to use it for organizing and analyzing my calendar events. The applications go beyond productivity-related stuff the app advertises, for example, since I use my calendar to track my menstrual cycle, I used the exported data to calculate average cycle length, duration, and regularity. I have a few suggestions:
- Rework the UI to reduce number of clicks needed to do anything
- Make it so that colors can be reassigned to categories without having to "free up" a color - right now if you have all of the colors assigned, for example, you need to: 1. delete category "A" (lavender), 2. change category "B"s color from peacock to lavender, 3. re-create category "A", 4. assign category "A" peacock. It would be even worse if you wanted to do some more complicated reassignment.
- Rework things such that when attempting to assign a category/label to an event, the category/label selection is not obscured by the event pop-up window from the calendar. This is obviously really not ideal as the workaround, moving the event to a different date so the window pops up in a place that doesn't obscure the sidebar and then moving it back after assigning category/labels, is just a huge waste of time.
- Category/label assignment on the create event page (NOT just the calendar pop-up). This would also solve the previous issue, as well as avert the case where the user needs to use the additional features the full event creation page offers, and then has to create the event, go back to the calendar page, click on the event, and then assign category/labels.
Thanks for the useful app!
