Overview
PDF Encrypt by cloudHQ helps you protect PDF documents by encrypting them with password protection in just a few clicks. Integrated directly with Google Drive™, it lets users secure PDF files without installing complex desktop software.

The app makes it easy to add password protection to sensitive PDF documents before sharing them with clients, colleagues, vendors, or external partners. Users can select files from Google Drive™, apply encryption, and ensure that only people with the correct password can open and view the protected PDF.

PDF Encrypt is useful for securing personal information, financial documents, legal files, medical records, HR paperwork, government forms, educational materials, and confidential business content. It helps individuals and organizations reduce the risk of unauthorized access when distributing PDFs by email, shared folders, or other collaboration channels.

The service also supports batch processing, so entire folders of PDFs can be encrypted at once. This makes it especially useful for teams that need to protect large volumes of documents as part of legal, healthcare, finance, HR, government, education, and other security-focused workflows.

Every encrypted file is automatically saved to Google Drive™ and can also be downloaded to your computer for immediate use. The service is designed to work across desktop and mobile devices, and supports organization-wide deployment for Google Workspace™ administrators.

I am working in accounting firm and during tax season we are sending maybe 200 client documents per week. Before this tool we were encrypting each file manualy in Adobe which was taking forever. Now we select the whole folder, put password, and everything is encrypted in few minutes. The subfolder option is very nice because it keeps encrypted versions seperate from originals. Our IT department approved it for the whole company after first week of using it.

I work in hospital administration and we must encrypt all patient documents before sharing outside. HIPAA is very strict about this. This tool makes it so we dont have to worry because every PDF gets locked with password before it goes anywhere. It also downloads the encrypted copy to computer automaticaly which is convenient for email attachments.

I was sending contracts to clients as regular PDFs and my compliance officer was not happy about it. Now I encrypt everything with one click before sending. Very easy to use, no extra software needed.

Very simple. Right click PDF in Google Drive, choose encrypt, type password, done. I was not expecting it to be this easy honestly.

Finally something that is not complicated. I tried maybe three or four other encryption tools before and they all required downloading desktop software or uploading files to some website I never heard of. This one works directly in Google Drive and I trust cloudHQ because I use their other extensions also. No problems in 5 months of using it. Good tool, does what it says.

Our law firm handles very sensitive documents and we needed something fast and reliable for encrypting PDFs before sending to opposing counsel. This does exactly that. The encrypted subfolder feature keeps everything organized and the fact that it saves to Drive and downloads to computer at same time means I always have backup. I recomended it to three other attorneys already and they all installed it same day.

The save password feature is small thing but it saves so much time when you are encrypting many files with same password.
