For the passed 4 weeks, I have been trying and reviewing crm and project apps for hours and hours, and I have come to the conclusions that Podio is by far the most flexible and powerful. It's also fast, clean, beautiful and it's apps make it super easy to do just about anything you can think off - which is what makes it stand out even more.
It looks slick, and everything seems to be "finished". Unlike most implementations I have seen, the google apps integration is fast, looks great, and powerful.
I was about to signup with a big competitor that is no where near as powerful as podio, but charges $35 per month for my 4 person startup....but I won't now.
Podio is free and I'm happy I decided to give it a try this morning. The only thing I don't like, is the name.
I wonder if they had a a contest of who could come up with the least sexy name?
Update: after having used it some more there is one thing that would make it even better. At the moment we can only add tasks from Gmail. I'd love to be able to add a contact to a crm app and also check to see if a contact is already in there and click on him/her to see more info.
IMHO Podio is a fantastic program, but CRM could improve so if it's just a simple CRM you're looking for, I'd advice you to look else where. I might take the dive though and hope they will improve it.
