How to start using Portant:
1️⃣ Install the add-on 
2️⃣ Open the add-on by selecting: Add-on > Portant Data Merge > Start
3️⃣ Select and connect a Google Sheet or Google Form 
4️⃣ Insert simple tags to indicate where you want each answer to be placed in the final document.
5️⃣ Click START and automatically create documents and save them in a folder on your google drive.
6️⃣ Optional | Share documents with email addresses.
7️⃣ Optional | Set Portant to automatically create documents whenever there is a change to the sheet or new answer to the form.

Looking to merge a list of members from a sheets workbook with a docs template to quickly produce an electronic membership list for our club. Look what I found... Worked almost. A page break between each member. A quick meeting with CEO Jeff Fyfe and that was fixed. Works very well and you gotta love the personal support. I can't imagine what more you could want.

I wanted to love this app! However, it kept taking me in a circle to log in. I would log in and it would take me back to the copy workbook. When I hit copy workbook it took me back to the log in page again! Very disappointing for an app that I had very high hopes for!

Here, Lilia Diaz a 25 yr teacher, now a counselor. I needed to merge info to create 100 certificates. This app was really easy to use, thanks to the tutorial videos. The merge went smoothly, but I ran into printing the merge problem. Decided to use the chat with a tech feature. Got support immediately from James, who helped me resolve that issue. Very happy to have found this app add-on. Being, I had researched youtube and other merging add-ons. This was by far the easiest to use, may more success come your way Portant!

Overall great platform, Makes my life much easier!! 5 stars for the overall service and for the quick and helpful response when I had an issue with it. I highly recommend emailing the support (when you encounter a problem) instead of posting a bad review. Love the automated email block feature, especially since the service is free. Would certainly make my tasks easier especially when communicating with my customers and clients.

Exceptionally good at creating reports and invoices. I run a small manufacturing business and this product help me set up the invoices and daily production reports from Google Sheets. I really like the flexibility offered with various options that we can tweak. On the downside, the product is limited by timeout setup by Google, but it can easily be worked around by setting up the number of rows you have to process each time. The customer support is awesome! I had a small issue at the beginning and they helped me out really fast.

Portant is the solution we have been waiting for. It's a versatile tool that resolves a long-standing problem in our organisation: information in spreadsheets is highly structured, but not easily readible. Information in documents is easily readible but not easy to structure. With Portant, we no longer have to choose between these two evils. We can build our lists and databases in spreadsheets, then use Portant to develop various sorts of reports from these. I'm sure that this is just one of many use cases, but this one is ours, and we're grateful to Portant for its availability. Thanks to James and his team for their support.

Enjoying this useful tool as mentioned by the developer: "Eliminate unnecessary manual work" I am a happy user who has started saving time to manually enter repetitive data for reports. Combining with google sheets, possibilities are endless, I wonder how other users are using it. Yes "Portant" is "IM PORTANT" ;-) Give it a try and you will love it!!
